First: I absolutely adore Selena & Demi and I am in no way saying they did anything wrong.

That said, there have been two pictures of Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Demi Lovato (Camp Rock) in bikinis circulating for the past few days.

Because neither is nearly as popular as Miley, there seems to be little chatter. But as these two are the most likely replacements for Miley should she not rebound from the Vanity Fair issue, it kinda throws a wrench in the works.

Personally, I’m starting to think there will never be another “good girl” Disney star a la Hilary Duff. Miley had been well on her way, but with the continuing eagerness of the media to find and blow up any issue – and in the process provide inspiration for more questionable photos.

EDIT: People seem not to read all the comments before replying, so let me clarify that I am not bashing Selena & Demi. I love them both – my point is that in the light of current events, and the over-sexualization of our culture, Selena & Demi in Bikinis suddenly becomes a major story. It shouldn’t be a big story, but it is none the less.

    Alright, sarcasticness aside, Demi and Selena are good stars that are way better than Miley could ever be. When I look at Miley all I see is a spoiled brat. You can find them anywhere. Because of crappy singers like Miley, my BFF can’t and never will get discovered. And she has an amazing voice. Miley has had way worse pictures. These are just two BFFs having fun like all girls do. With them, it is just two friends being girls.

  39. Give me a break! Two friends in a pool. But, I don’t like the fact no one critisizes them and yet Miley does the same thing, and everyone calls her every name in the book. Demi is posing sexually in the first pic. Miley wasn’t topless for Vanity Fair either.
