First: I absolutely adore Selena & Demi and I am in no way saying they did anything wrong.

That said, there have been two pictures of Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Demi Lovato (Camp Rock) in bikinis circulating for the past few days.

Because neither is nearly as popular as Miley, there seems to be little chatter. But as these two are the most likely replacements for Miley should she not rebound from the Vanity Fair issue, it kinda throws a wrench in the works.

Personally, I’m starting to think there will never be another “good girl” Disney star a la Hilary Duff. Miley had been well on her way, but with the continuing eagerness of the media to find and blow up any issue – and in the process provide inspiration for more questionable photos.

EDIT: People seem not to read all the comments before replying, so let me clarify that I am not bashing Selena & Demi. I love them both – my point is that in the light of current events, and the over-sexualization of our culture, Selena & Demi in Bikinis suddenly becomes a major story. It shouldn’t be a big story, but it is none the less.

    …i mean disney never even did a bikini scene. Over 50% of the sitcom watchers are over 13, so why not include bikini scenes, i mean they’re not scandalising or anythin.

I guess I got here to late, but i just had to put in my two cents. 1st of all, It’s just part of life that if you become a celebrity, you should accept the fact that your privacy will be very limited, like it or not thats just the way it is. (price of being famous). 2nd usually part of why you become famous is because you may have that unique look or talent or even yes, a hot body. It is normal to fantasize about a celebrity and what they may look like in a bikini or something else. So when a picture pops up, the majority will desperately wanna look at it. Selena has a very unique look, she is gorgeous so it is natural that people wanna look at her in a bikini. I went over by 5 cents but there you go.
