Before I say anything else, have you all bought Selena’s new album yet?
If not, well, I think Demi said it best on her twitter: “Go pick up @selenagomez’s new album!!!!! GO!!!!!!! #selenagomez!!!”;
So we’re good there right? Okay. these lovely new pics of Selena are from the Monte Carlo Premiere in New York.
Monte Carlo is out on Friday in theaters, so make sure you go see that too. I want a big opening weekend box office.
It won’t beat Transformers, but it still needs to be big, okay? Okay.
I mean if you think Selena looks good in blue here, just remember those bikini scenes she filmed last year. 😉

I don’t think I’m going to watch Monte Carlo until it comes out on DVD so I can just find it on Redbox. It looks too unoriginal (think The Lizzie McGuire Movie) for me to get behind.
That being said, I will be getting When The Sun Goes Down as soon as I can, even though I’m still annoyed there weren’t more singles from A Year Without Rain.

Since seeing Sel in person a couple of weeks ago during her mall tour I feel “closer” to her and want to see her succeed more than ever. In spite of her unusual taste for little Canadian boys Sel is one of the good girls. She’s a great role model and a great representative of the Walt Disney Company and its values. She deserves all of the success she’s had and hopefully there will be much more to come – but hopefully without Beiber by her side. *rolling my eyes*

According to the latest results “Monte Carlo” has grossed an estimated 8.75 million. While that may only be a fraction of what “Transformers” did, “Monte Carlo” was not produced as a summer blockbuster. It was specifically made to be a teenage chick flick/mother daughter flick and in that regard IT HAS DONE EXCELLENT! This is Selena’s first starring role in a major film and with this kind of result you can bet your Justin Beiber poster collection that you’ll be seeing her VERY PRETTY face in more movies in the future. Stop being such a hater and start giving Selena the credit she deserves.

I loved that movie so much that I’m writing a Johnstown Channel show based on it to premiere this fall, replacing both iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place for me. Musicians of Monte Carlo is basically a Wizards of Waverly Place spin-off, like how iCarly was a Drake & Josh spin-off. I’m making room for a new TV generation.
