Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato Bikini Pictures

First: I absolutely adore Selena & Demi and I am in no way saying they did anything wrong.

That said, there have been two pictures of Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Demi Lovato (Camp Rock) in bikinis circulating for the past few days.

Because neither is nearly as popular as Miley, there seems to be little chatter. But as these two are the most likely replacements for Miley should she not rebound from the Vanity Fair issue, it kinda throws a wrench in the works.

Personally, I’m starting to think there will never be another “good girl” Disney star a la Hilary Duff. Miley had been well on her way, but with the continuing eagerness of the media to find and blow up any issue – and in the process provide inspiration for more questionable photos.

EDIT: People seem not to read all the comments before replying, so let me clarify that I am not bashing Selena & Demi. I love them both – my point is that in the light of current events, and the over-sexualization of our culture, Selena & Demi in Bikinis suddenly becomes a major story. It shouldn’t be a big story, but it is none the less.

  4. Wow, ppl should stop bashing all the celebs about stuff thats not major. All i see in these pics is 2 teenage girls haveing fun at the pool or something. Is there anything really wrong like that. PPL are acting like they have never seen someone in a bathing suit before.

  6. As some people have said on a few other websites regarding this issue, how come it’s okay for Selena and Demi to be seen wearing bikinis, but not Miley? Remember Miley’s bikini pics? Why does Miley always get the short end of the stick?

  7. That’s a very good point David. But Miley’s done a lot worse than just her bikini pics, so it tends to cast a more negative light on anything of her. Selena and Demi still have “good” images so fans are more willing to spring to their defense.

  8. Honestly I don’t see what’s so bad about Demi and Selena hanging out at a pool in a bathing suit. Does this now mean that just because you’re famous, you can’t go swimming? Because there’s always a possibility that someone can get your picture and put it on the internet. It’s true, Miley has done worse things, like posing topless for the Vanity Fair, but her bikini pictures were somewhat racy in the way that her poses were somewhat sexual. However, here, you can tell Demi and Selena are just having a good time at the pool. That’s just my view on the subject.

  18. well, i’m sorry but demi lovato alone is way more popular than miley cyrus and she is actually a little better than miley because what i see there is what you can see in any town, from every state in the US(exept Alaska).

    Demi Lovato is the most beautiful girl there is in this universe and excuse her for not going in the pool in her long dress!

  44. They are wearing bathing suits, what’s the problem with that. Unless you have never been to the pool or a beach, everyone knows that girls wear bikinis. Besides, they are barely bikinis, they are more like bathing suits. This is just a picture of two girls having fun in a pool. Big deal. It’s not like they took, barely dressed pictures of themselves like Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens. This was probably just a sleazy photographer. Being celebrities does mean (in most cases) being role models. These are just two teenagers having fun after what was probably a stressful day. If a picture of two unknown teenagers wearing swimsuits in a pool showed up on the internet, we wouldn’t care. Why should this case be any different. At least they have swimsuits because they are in the pool! Miley just wears bikinis to take racy pictures of herself. And at least Demi and Selena haven’t posed nude for their boyfriend. They are so much better role-models than Miley or Vanessa. They started out on Barney for goodness sakes! THey wear purity rings! Can you say that about Miley or Vanessa? I don’t think so! Besides, Demi and Selena deserve privacy from the paparatzi!

  48. I totally agree. Some may not think that a bikini picture is unacceptable, but it is immodest, and seeing young girls dressing this way makes me question there morals and intentions. If they are this young and dressing and acting like adults, where are our KIDS supposed to look.
