Some of you have probably hear about this already, but this is pretty big news and I wanna make sure everyone knows what’s going on. 🙂 Disney is currently developing a Boy Meets World spin-off/sequel series tentatively titled Girl Meets World. Then series would center around Cory and Topanga’s preteen daughter.

Boy Meets World may be headed back to television.
Disney Channel is in early stages of development on a new original television series centered on the daughter of golden couple Cory and Topanga, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Boy Meets World, the half-hour comedy that ran as part of ABC’s “TGIF” block for seven seasons from 1993-2000, centered on the lessons learned by Cory Matthews as he goes through life starting as a young boy. By the time the series ended, Cory and Topanga married and began living together.
Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong were among the main cast members on the show, which aired 158 total episodes during its run.
Casting is under way on the project from Boy Meets World executive producer Michael Jacobs. There is no official word on whether Savage or Fishel, who portrayed Cory and Topanga, respectively, would return to reprise their roles should the follow-up make it to the pilot or series stage.
Sources say that the cable network is trying to land original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to revisit their roles of sweethearts Cory and Topanga, who married before their ABC sitcom ended its seven-season run. The new series would center on their preteen daughter.
Since then, we’ve learned that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have officially signed on to reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence in the new show. Disney has also announced that Rowan Blanchard of Spy Kids 4 will be playing the lead role of Riley Matthews. We’ve also learned that Sabrina Carpenter of Sofia the First will play the best friend role of Maya Fox.

Now, it’s important to remember that Disney’s only ordered a pilot so far, but it will be very interesting to see what happens with this project.
I’m seriously looking good to this. Boy Meets World is one of my favorite shows, and I’m hoping this is just as amazing.

This is great news! Good for Rowan and Sabrina for getting the lead roles on a show so many Boy Meets World fans are looking forward to! I know I’m happy, especially since we are just that much closer to a premiere date! I can’t wait to see how the show turns out, and I will definitely be keeping my fingers crossed for a 2013 debut!
