I’m not really thrilled with the title, but this new Halloween DCOM staring Olivia Holt from Kickin’ It looks like a really solid effort to me.
Just have a look at the trailer, and tell me you’re not impressed. I mean, they actually spent money on the effects!

Here’s a copy of Disney’s official press release:

Olivia Holt (of Disney XD’s “Kickin’ It”) stars in a bewitching story for kids and families, “Girl Vs. Monster,” a Disney Channel Original Movie, premiering FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT), during the Monstober programming event on Disney Channel. The spook-tacular adventure, with themes of courage, independence and friendship, follows a confident fifteen-year-old singer who on Halloween, discovers that she’s a fifth generation monster hunter.
The adventure begins as Skylar, a fearless teenager with a powerful singing voice, prepares for the ultimate Halloween bash with her best friends, Henry and Sadie. However, the plan for Skylar to sing at the party – with rock band cutie Ryan Dean – is crushed when her parents make her stay home. When she attempts to sneak out of the house, she accidentally unleashes a monster – Deimata – who is determined to change the fate of Skylar and her family forever. As Skylar’s world is turned upside down, she learns that her parents have been keeping a big secret – that she comes from a long line of monster hunters. Now, it’s up to Skylar and her friends to channel their inner strength and conquer more than just this monster.

KNOCK IT OFF! Olivia Holt isn’t a bikini model, she’s a very talented little girl who deserves RESPECT! Yes, there are pictures of Olivia in a bikini having innocent fun at the beach with her friends just like any normal 15 year old girl should. Stop objectifying these talented actresses.
