I know this is a bit late (by several months) and you may already be aware but Debby was/is involved with an organization called Free the Children (which I assume is also behind the book) and she is an ambassador for that organization as well. She has traveled to a few countries on behalf of Free the Children including India and its neighbors(yes, this was the same time as when she was doing Friends for Change over there, one for two I guess). I suspect that she’s probably at the airport waiting to go to India, it would fit the time frame.
