The months of hard work, endless writing and studio sessions feels like nothing compared to the last final hours until the release of my debut album Fight or Flight! Having the opportunity to create my own music is truly something more than extraordinary, and I can’t even begin to explain how truly lucky I feel. Every day I am thankful for my wonderful and supportive fans, my family and my friends who have always had my back and have always pushed me towards my sometimes outrageous dreams. Today in particular is a day to spread the love. I am counting on all of you to go out there, spread the word and buy the album! I want to share eleven little pieces of my heart with you, so please, turn it up, listen hard, and dance!

I still wanna know why it’s called “Fight or Flight” even though her song of the same title is not on the album. I wish I could have made it to her album signing so I could have asked her that.
And I just want to say that I really like “1-800-Clap Your Hands.” It’s a very smooth soulful song and I’ve been in love with it ever since I first heard her sing it at the House of Blues in Anaheim on 04/25/10.

Love her writing. She writes well. Good songs, good content, but for me, this album is more miss than hit. Again, love the writing, but I don’t think the “electronic pop” sound is right. With Emily’s EP being so unique, I suppose I expected more instrument based sounds, and not so much computer.
