I guess the best way to start this story is to simply tell it from the beginning. As I’m sure most of you know by now, I have an unusual work schedule. Because of this, I usually write my posts a week or more in advance and schedule them so they post on a fairly regular basis.
So last week I saw this picture on Allisyn Ashley Arm’s twitter…
… and I was like, “Holy F#&k!”
15 year old Allisyn is showing a lot of leg and quite honestly I was taken aback. You see… I kinda actually know her a little bit. I can’t really revel my sources, but I know people that are close to her and it was just very strange to see her like that.
I had a discussion with one of my close friends about it that evening. I realized a couple things that night. First, that if it felt wrong to sexualize her by reposting that pic with the usual commentary, then I probably shouldn’t do it. Of course, it wasn’t a far leap then to conclude that sexualizing ANY girl like that would be just as equally wrong… and that’s pretty much all we do here.
I mean, just because I don’t know her cute blond friend Audrey Whitby, that doesn’t mean it’s somehow more appropriate to comment on her looks than on Allisyn. Their outfits there are almost identical, after all.
Truth be told, I don’t enjoy writing for this site the way I used to. It used to be about the shows, but then we lost the screencap gallery and thing just kind of… slipped.
And then… something else happened. I can’t really go into the details, but I lost a dear friend. I may talk to her again someday 3-4 years from now, but I’m not holding my breath on that.
Anyway, that gave me some time to think. And I realized that a change has to be made. Now a site like this obviously can’t turn on a dime. It took a while to get to where we are today, and it will take a while to get back to the course I had originally planned for this site, but it has to be done.
I’ll still be posting pictures of course. But they’re going to be topical and more news worthy, like this shot of the Friends for change blue team. I’m also going to avoid the underage girls in general.
So that means this is probably the last Allisyn post for quite a while. This also means you’ll need to look elsewhere if you’re a big Bella Thorne fan or are particularly into Stefanie Scott. As for the other girls, I may occasionally comment on Selena’s mole or make a preemptive comment on Ashley’s legs, but in general I’m just gonna post the pics and let you decide for yourselves what you think.
If everyone decided to take pics with stormtroopers maybe this won’t be too hard of an adjustment. xD
Now, I will remind you that, as I said before, I write posts in advance and they aren’t always actually posted in order. So this transition will not be immediate, but you should start to notice it over the next couple weeks. I would like to thank you all for your loyal readership over the past few weeks, months, or years and I hope you enjoy the new format.
I would also like to note that this also applies to the new Nick Girls Blog. Future updates there may be a bit more sporadic as I focus on rebuilding and restructuring this blog. I will be sure to do my best to keep you updated.
One final thing, I am looking for a couple new contributors who can help me keep up with the latest news and events for Disney and Nick. In particular, I’m looking for people more familiar with Nick, but that’s not a must.

sad to read this :/
will say im a bit disappointed..
I’m glad you made this decision! But honestly, I think you can continue to post news/pics about Bella, Allysn, etc. if they are okay. Like normal red carpet pics. I don’t feel like you have to disclaim these.
Thank you.
Well in the couple of weeks that I followed your sites I must say that I enjoyed your current format. But I understand your decision to change course. I shall look forward to seeing said change. And I’m interested to know more about being a contributor as well.
When I first came to this site a while ago what attracted me was a news story about one of the Disney shows. Seeing it change into a forum to look at the girls was okay for me but I did miss a lot of the news stories (I have many other sources where I get my good looking pictures of the girls so I wouldn’t be too hurt if we lost it)
just keep us up to date on our girls and my new girl sky.
Like Dylan sang: “The times they are a changin”. I support this decision since its probably best for the site. On a side note, Greg I hope the situation with your friend works out.
As you know, I work for a small-town newspaper. It is not my job to pick and choose a story because I like what I see. I choose content because of its newsworthiness. It doesn’t matter if it involves a male, female, underage, senior age. We just had a pirate festival and there was a mermaid. She was out in public for everyone to see, I chose to run the picture. It was part of the story. People may like it, they may dislike it. I suggest you do the same. More specifically, post news about Disney actors — whether they be male, female, young, old, gorgeous, ugly … In other words, it’s just as much OK to post a picture of Eric Allan Kramer or Kim Rhodes as it is to post news about Jason Dolley or Olivia Holt.
Then i wish someone would create a site just dedicated to Disney girls. Granted it does feel really wrong to sexualize Bella Thorne and other girls her age. It also sounded wrong when you would say sexual things about girls you have actually met. I mean if they read that and then saw you they’d be like umm, creepy.
Greg,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. From your description I’m going to assume that when you say “lost” you are talking about a friendship that has ended due to ideological differences and that no one has passed away.
It is unfortunate that your friendship has ended but this is YOUR blog and you have developed a following based on what YOU posted, not her. That being said I agree that it would be a good idea not to post pictures of 13 year old girls in bikinis even if they happen to be DC stars but it’s probably not a good idea to turn this site into convent either.
I think if you split the difference you’ll get to keep your current fanbase and develop new followers as well. The Friends For Change Games posting shows that you still have “core” Disney fans (very young girls) viewing this site and I find that to be a good thing. We need more topics like that as well as cute pics of the older stars. 🙂
Wow…I’m going to miss those pics. I also want some news stories. I want both. I’ll keep coming here, cause this site is awesome. Just wondering where I could find those great pics Dan. Mind telling me some?
Greg, I’ve been a fan of this site for a while and just commenting recently. You have my support all the way. This is a really great site.
I am really, really gonna miss this format. I came here because of the girls. (Well, mainly Selena Gomez)
Sound like censorship has finally caught up with are dear old friend Greg. I guess things are gonna be a little prude around this site now.
So when I see Selena in a bikini what should I say now, “My God Selena sure looks sharp in that bikini.”
We should make a Bring back Bella to Disney channel fans campaign.
“My God Selena sure looks sharp in that bikini.” ROFLOL
I’m sure everything will work out for the best.
It is hot that she is becoming a teen and should wear smaller skirts
