May Disney Channel Highlights

Posted on April 28, 2011

Another month, another post of Disney Channel new episode highlights!

We kick off May 2011 with a new Good Luck Charlie, and one of the oldest plots ever. Seriously, but must every show to the fake parents thing? If these characters ever watched TV they would know this never works.

REID EWING (“MODERN FAMILY”) GUEST STARS IN A NEW EPISODE OF
“GOOD LUCK CHARLIE,” SUNDAY, MAY 1 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Meet the Parents” – Teddy and PJ pose as Gabe’s parents in order to get him out of trouble in class with his older, nearsighted teacher. Things go as planned until the teacher spots Teddy out on a date with her new crush Derek. Meanwhile, Bob bets Amy she can’t build a playhouse for Charlie without his help, in a new episode of “Good Luck Charlie,” premiering SUNDAY, MAY 1 (8:00–8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Reid Ewing (“Modern Family”) guest stars as Derek.

The new shake it up is about how lying is bad? I mean, that’s the actual plot? These girls know they’re on TV right? Wow….

CECE AND ROCKY’S DANCING GETS THEM IN TROUBLE
IN A NEW EPISODE OF “SHAKE IT UP,”
SUNDAY, MAY 1 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Sweat It Up” – Rocky and CeCe learn a valuable lesson in lying after Rocky is untruthful about being able to hang out with the honor society kids, and CeCe fakes a leg injury to skip gym class. Both are caught in their deceit when they are seen Salsa dancing on “Shake It Up Chicago!” the same day. Meanwhile, Flynn, Duce and Ty find out dog sitting is more than they can handle, in a new episode of “Shake It Up,” SUNDAY, MAY 1 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Well, we all knew this was coming, the final episode of The Suite Life on Deck. It’s been a long time but I guess we all knew this was coming. Hopefully they did a good job on it and won’t leave us hanging.

ZACK AND CODY GRADUATE FROM THE SEVEN SEAS
IN A MOMENTOUS EPISODE OF “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK,”
FRIDAY, MAY 6 ON DISNEY CHANNEL
“Graduation on Deck” – When Mr. Tipton sells the ship, Zack, Cody, London and Bailey find themselves embarking on separate journeys after graduation. Maya accepts a Peace Corps assignment in Africa and breaks up with Zac, while Cody and Bailey are anxious about their relationship surviving through college. As they explore plans for the next chapter in their lives, relationships are tested but they realize distance cannot overcome the strong bond formed between them, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, MAY 6 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Out with the old, in with the new? It’s time for the next new DC series, ANT Farm. I’ll give it a chance but I’m not expecting much.

CHYNA, OLIVE AND FLETCHER ARE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY
IN THE SERIES PREVIEW OF “ANT FARM,”
FRIDAY, MAY 6 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“TransplANTed” – It’s Chyna’s first day of high school as part of the prestigious ANT (Advanced Natural Talents) program. After Chyna and her new ANT friends Fletcher and Olive hear about a high school party, they attempt to make themselves look older to attend. The party is ruined when Olive accidently pulls the plug on the music but Chyna keeps the party going with an impromptu musical performance, in a new episode of “ANT Farm,” previewing FRIDAY, MAY 6 (8:40-9:10 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Gabe’s only 12? Well… 12 and a half? News to me. Also… where do they live? Somewhere snowy I guess. LOL

GABE CELEBRATES HIS 12-1/2TH BIRTHDAY IN A NEW EPISODE OF
“GOOD LUCK CHARLIE,” SUNDAY, MAY 8 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Gabe’s 12-1/2 Birthday” – Gabe’s 12th birthday party has continually been cancelled for months, so Amy and Bob promise him a party to celebrate his 12-1/2 birthday if he can be nice for one week. He pulls it off, but a huge snow storm prevents them from going anywhere, so Amy, Bob and the rest of the family pull together to throw Gabe his most memorable party yet. Meanwhile, Teddy and Ivy get into an argument because Ivy doesn’t like Derek. Regretting the fight, Teddy heads over to Ivy’s just as Ivy heads to Teddy’s, and unfortunately for them, they get snowed in and stuck with each other’s parents, in a new episode of “Good Luck Charlie,” premiering SUNDAY, MAY 8 (8:00–8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

NEW WIZARDS! YAY! I’m not so sure about the whole Mexican wrestlers thing, but more Selena’s always a good thing. 🙂

ALEX’S HERO MUY MACHO RETURNS TO THE RING IN A NEW EPISODE OF “WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE,” FRIDAY, MAY 13 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Magic Unmasked” – After Alex meets her childhood hero, former professional wrestler Muy Macho, she finds out she’s the reason he retired and convinces him to return to the ring. Meanwhile, Zeke persuades Justin to use his powers to make him the ultimate contender against Muy Macho, in a new episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, MAY 13 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

OMG, I loved Pamela Hamster. And they’re bringing her back? Okay, this might actually be pretty cool.

PAMELA HAMSTER VISITS MILO IN A NEW EPISODE OF
“FISH HOOKS,” FRIDAY, MAY 13 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

–Sabrina Bryan returns as Pamela Hamster –

“Pamela Hamster Returns” – When Pamela Hamster visits Milo in Freshwater, he enlists Bea and Oscar to help keep his secret of being a fish hidden. Everything goes awry when the rest of the fish discover that not only has Milo been impersonating a hamster and has drained water from the tanks, but has failed to throw them an “awesome” party, as promised.

This episode of Disney Channel’s “Fish Hooks” airs FRIDAY, MAY 13 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT). “Flying Fish” originally aired Friday, March 4.

“Fish Hooks” stars Chelsea Kane (“Dancing with the Stars”) as Bea, Kyle Massey (“Cory in the House”) as Milo and Justin Roiland (“The Sarah Silverman Program”) as Oscar.

Sabrina Bryan (“The Cheetah Girls” movies) guest stars as Pamela Hamster.

They’re having a journalist guest star? Oookay. And there are regular platapuses (???) at the Danville Zoo? Awesome I suppose. LOLz

JOURNALIST LISA LING GUEST STARS IN A NEW EPISODE OF
“PHINEAS AND FERB,” FRIDAY, MAY 13 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Ask a Foolish Question” – When Candace discovers that Phineas and Ferb have invented a computer that can answer anything, she asks it how she can finally bust her brothers once and for all. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz loses the key to his latest invention, the “Take Over the Tri-State Area-inator,” and Agent P must find it before he does.

“Misperceived Monotreme” – Perry misses his 100th battle against Dr. Doofenshmirtz when Candace takes him to the Charity Pet Wash with her. Perry’s absence goes unnoticed when a typical platypus at the Danville Zoo stops Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s plan to zap his brother with his “Least Likely-inator.” Meanwhile, the boys build a fun house Phineas and Ferb style.

This episode of “Phineas and Ferb” airs FRIDAY, MAY 13 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

I hate when the “break up” episode is in the same month as the “get together.” It takes all the fun out of guessing what’s gonna happen!

TEDDY MUST FIGURE OUT A NICE WAY TO BREAK UP WITH DEREK
IN A NEW EPISODE OF “GOOD LUCK CHARLIE,”
SUNDAY, MAY 15 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“The Break Up” – Teddy is losing interest in Derek but has a hard time breaking up with him because he keeps doing nice things for her. Meanwhile, Amy volunteers to coach Gabe’s new hockey team, but her overly competitive nature backfires when Gabe accidentally hits the puck straight for her teeth. Also, Bob has to figure out a way to get PJ his job back after he unintentionally gets him fired, in a new episode of “Good Luck Charlie,” premiering SUNDAY, MAY 15 (8:00–8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

And… that’s it I guess. The second half of the month is gonna be fairly boring I suppose…

ANT Farm doesn’t do anything for me just from the preview of it. I’ll give it a chance, but it just doesn’t seem to stand out to me. Maybe if the characters were older or something, I would be more anxious to check it out.

On Friday May 6 there seems to be some “lost” time in the schedule. The SLOD gradulation ends at 8:30 and A.N.T. Farm doesn’t start until 8:40. I wonder what’s up with that? It’s too long a break for a music video. I wonder if they will show a preview for my girl Debby’s new series Jessie. 😀

I guess it’s also possible that SLOD could be 40 minutes that night. As we all know, it’s the last episode of the series and from the description above it seems there is too much going on for only a 30 minute show.

I wish they didn’t tell us that Maya dumps Zack. I mean, we all know they have to break up but they should have left us hanging a little more about it. I kind of thought that Zack would dump Maya. No loss either way, I personally don’t find Zoey Deutch very attractive anyway.

Oh, and Cody and Bailey don’t break up? Come on now! We all know there is no way that can last with him in Boston and her in Kettlecorn. It only took Barbara one day to start dating Bob after Cody left. lol. 🙂

I’ll give ANT Farm three episodes like I do all the new shows, but I’m not expecting much.

The imagine they’ll probably show a new music video in that 10 minute gap or something. They can’t really do a preview for Jessie – they haven’t started filming it yet!

Three episodes sounds about right. Ironically, I did not like the first and second episode of Shake It Up, but it started to grow on me by the third episode, and after the third episode, I started to like the series.
