BURBANK, Calif., On April 19, 2011, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be proudly unveiling Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, an all-new movie on Blu-ray(TM) and DVD staring Ashley Tisdale reprising her role as Disney Channel’s global sensation “High School Musical” drama queen character Sharpay Evans. A full three minute sneak peek of the movie is now widely available for fans of all ages to get a glimpse of this hilarious fish-out-of-water tale about a small town Diva and her dog’s adventures in New York City.

Additionally, a brand new Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure facebook page (www.facebook.com/DisneySharpay) and Twitter handle (@DisneySharpay) have also launched so that fans can join and stay on-top of all the latest news, sneak peeks and messages from key cast members.

Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure releases nationwide as a 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack Superset (Blu-ray + DVD+ Digital Copy) which includes a limited edition pink clutch purse, a 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD), and a 1-Disc DVD. Hilarious bonus features include bloopers of Ashley Tisdale and cast, special footage shot on-set by actor Austin Butler, and, exclusive to the Blu-ray disc, “The Evolution of the Sharpay,” a fun look back at the famous High School Musical character, Sharpay Evans.

Film Synopsis:

Just how fabulous do you have to be to make it big in the Big Apple? One aspiring diva is about to find out… the hard way! Ashley Tisdale shines in this totally captivating comedy.

After a talent scout spots her performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala, Sharpay Evans (Tisdale) sets off for the bright lights of NYC, convinced instant fame and fortune are in the bag (designer, that is). But the theatre is a dog-eat-dog world, as she and Boi discover when they encounter the devious owner of a pampered Pooch named “Countess” and a scheming Broadway starlet who will do anything to crush the competition. Fortunately, Sharpay also meets Peyton (Austin Butler), a handsome student filmmaker who finds Sharpay nearly as fascinating as she finds herself.

On April 19th, the same day and date as the Blu-ray & DVD release, Walt Disney Records will be releasing six all-new songs featured in the movie Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure available for fans to purchase digitally on iTunes and Amazon.com. Songs include the upbeat lead track, “Gonna Shine,” sung by Ashley Tisdale. Grounded in a timeless Broadway style, other songs include “My Boi and Me” and the companion tune, “My Girl and Me” (the latter performed by Ashley Tisdale and co-star Shawn Molko). “New York’s Best Kept Secret” is a touchingly reflective ballad, while “The Rest of My Life” is an all-heart-all-hope pop gem. Lucas Grabeel, who co-starred as Ryan Evans in the “High School Musical” films alongside Ashley, sings the love song, “Baby” (Justin Bieber’s Top 10 hit).
