Greg’s Fanmail Guide

So, you’ve seen my Debby Ryan and Meaghan Martin autographs on the site and wondered how you could get your own, right?

I’ve gotten quite a few of my celebrity autographs in person, but I’ve gotten some really cool ones by mail as well. And you can too!

For starters, you’ll need an standard 9×12 envelope. Address it to yourself, write “do not bend” across the front, and attach $1.05 $1.10 worth of postage. Three standard stamps will cover that.

This is the envelope they’ll use to send your autograph back to you, so it’s important to make sure your address is readable and you have the proper postage.

Next, you’ll need to write your fan letter. Long or short usually doesn’t matter, just be sure to politely ask for an autograph at some point, so they know that’s what the return envelope is for.

Finally, you’ll need one more envelope to enclose your letter and return envelope. Most people usually use another 9×12 envelope, but I use a 6×9 “catalog” envelope. It will fit if you fold the return envelope into thirds. You can check your rate at usps.com, but for how I do it it comes to $0.61 $0.65. That’s two standard stamps.

The last thing you’ll need, of course, is the address to send it to!
