Another Sneak Peak of Good Luck Charlie!
I hope this isn’t boring everyone, but we’re very excited about Bridgit Mendler’s new series Good Luck Charlie.
The LA Times has just published an in depth review of the series. But the most surprising thing in the article, is this quote from executive Gary Marsh:
“What ‘Good Luck Charlie’ represents is an evolutionary step to really put the family into our kid-driven family brand. Do I think this will be a first choice for 35- to 40-year-old moms? Not necessarily… But if we do our jobs properly and we create the authenticity we’re talking about, it will allow us to tackle stories in a more grounded way that will be more appealing to parents than other shows we’ve done before.”
Someone should tell Gary about all the adults that like Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch, American Dragon, Phil of the Future, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Sonny with a Chance. Still, it’s a good thing that they’ve finally noticed that their shows can and do appeal to families, not just tweens.
