Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato Bring Delena Back for Rare Beauty

Posted on October 28, 2026

Well, this wasn’t on our 2026 Disney Channel bingo card.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have reunited for a new Rare Beauty campaign, and instead of simply putting the two longtime friends in an ad together, they’re going all in on the nostalgia.

The campaign is called “Still Making Each Other Blush,” and yes, Rare Beauty is officially bringing Delena back. There’s even a limited-time Delena: Soft Pinch Blush Bundle.

But for longtime Disney Channel fans, the really fun part is the campaign itself.

18 Years Later, Delena Is Vlogging Again

Remember those Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato YouTube videos from 2008?

Apparently Rare Beauty does too.

The announcement begins with a very familiar “YO YO YO,” before declaring: “18 years later, Delena is back with a vlog.” The accompanying video brings Selena and Demi back together in a bedroom setting, makeup brushes in hand, recreating the feel of the videos the pair made together as teenagers.

Honestly, if you were a Disney Channel fan online in 2008, you probably knew exactly what Rare Beauty was doing before anyone had to explain it.

And they didn’t stop there.

Princess Protection Program Gets Some Love Too

The campaign also gives a very obvious wink to Princess Protection Program, the 2009 Disney Channel Original Movie starring Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

Promotional photos show Demi in gold and Selena in turquoise, recreating the look and poses associated with Princess Rosalinda and Carter Mason in the movie’s original promotional artwork.

For anyone who needs the Disney Channel history lesson, Selena and Demi knew each other before either became a Disney star, having appeared together on Barney & Friends. They later became two of the biggest faces of that era of Disney Channel, with Selena leading Wizards of Waverly Place while Demi starred in Camp Rock and Sonny With a Chance.

Then came Princess Protection Program, their YouTube videos, “One and the Same,” and a friendship that Disney Channel fans followed right alongside their careers.

Which makes what’s happening in 2026 pretty fun to watch.

So, What’s Actually in the Delena Bundle?

The Delena: Soft Pinch Blush Bundle combines the Rare Beauty blush shades preferred by Selena and Demi:

  • Selena: Hope, a nude mauve
  • Demi: Virtue, a beige peach
  • Plus: a complimentary Soft Pinch Blush Brush

The limited-time bundle is priced at $50, with Rare Beauty listing its combined value at $76.

“One and the Same…Always.”

Demi described working together again as a “full-circle moment,” saying that being on set reminded the pair of being back in their bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup.

Selena leaned even harder into the nostalgia, describing the campaign as a chance to celebrate their history together and ending with:

“One and the same….always.”

Oh, they knew what they were doing with that one.

The reunion also didn’t exactly come out of nowhere. Earlier this year, Selena attended the opening night of Demi’s It’s Not That Deep Tour in Florida and reunited with Demi backstage.

Now we have Delena vlogs again, a Princess Protection Program throwback, and a Rare Beauty bundle literally named after them.

2008 DCFans would have had a completely normal reaction to this news, we’re sure.

Welcome back, Delena.
