Disney Channel Fans

Well, we’ve known for a while that Debby’s been shooting a new DCOM called “16 Wishes” in Vancouver.

But now we finally have some details courtesy of Stitch Kingdom and twitter.

Debby Ryan of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life on Deck will co-star with Kyle XY’s Jean-Luc Bilodeau in a new Disney Channel original movie set to premiere during summer 2010.

Ryan plays Abby Jensen, who has been planning her 16th birthday for the longest time. She has a secret wish list taped to her closet door, and on her big day a box of Sweet Sixteen Birthday Candles arrives, each of which corresponds to a wish on her list. As her wishes come true, her day gets better and better until she makes a wish that changes everything.

“We are excited to be in business with the Disney-ABC Cable Networks Group and Disney Channel in the U.S. and around the world,” commented Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “We are confident that we have jointly come up with all the key elements that constitute a successful co-production including a fantastically written, fast-paced, comedic script; a wonderful cast and crew, and a bona fide star in Debby Ryan.”

“Sixteen Wishes is a funny and aspirational movie about a young girl who realizes the true meaning of the universal theme, be careful what you wish for,” added David Levine, the VP of worldwide programming strategy, acquisitions and co-productions for Disney Channels Worldwide. “Disney Channel star Debby Ryan brings a unique charm and vulnerability to the role of Abby, one that we know our audience will embrace.”

Surprisingly, it sounds like this will be the “back to school” DCOM that airs in August of this year! I know they got did a quick turn around on Starstruck, but I’m still surprised. Especially with Camp rock 2 in post for almost a full year.

But I must say, I’m glad that Debby’s back to work on Suite Life:

OMG! We’ve just obtained photographic evidence that Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson of JONAS are sleeping together!

…What? They are. I didn’t say they where lesbian lovers. You pervs gotta get your heads out of the gutter.

I do think it’s pretty awesome that production has resumed on JONAS. I mean, now we get to see more of these fine young ladies together.

They even hit the beach last week!

If only we could have actually seen a little bit more…

In honor of StarStruck, I think it’s time for another batch of Chelsea Staub twitter pics!

I do wanna say that StarStruck needed more Chelsea, but that’s a story for another post.

Last Thursday, Chelsea organized a benefit show “Hope for Haiti” at the Sunset Strip HOB.

I wanted to go, but I couldn’t do both that and the GLC Filming.

Anyway, here’s Chelsea with Nick Jonas at the show.

But we do know she owns a Beetle convertible.

Which she recently took up to Solvang. I love that place!

She sure ends up in some unusual places.

I’d like to thank Emily for asking Bridgit for Wizards vs. Werewolves was her last appearance on WOWP when she went to the GLC filming on Friday (1/29/10).

Bridgit answered “I don’t know”, with a wink. Unfortunately, Emily didn’t have the chance to ask her about why Wizards hadn’t been renewed.

Friday’s episode was #117 “Girl Bites Dog” directed by Eric Dean Seaton. GLC is taking a break from filming and will resume the week after that. Meanwhile, Eric is going to be back to work on SWAC.

“Last GLC until Mid February. Busy week then back to SWAC.”

So the mystery of Sonny with a Chance season two deepens. Disney had released a new series of promotional pictures for SWAC season two….

…But then they quickly backtracked and pulled the photos off of their press release site. Fortunately, some sites had already saved their own copies which is how I was able to get them as well.

Now here’s where it gets more interesting, remember how Radio Disney’s Jake Whetter’s told us that the new season would air on the 14th? Well now he says “I was wrong. LOL… as soon as I know, I’ll let you know. ”

So I hope you all enjoy these promos, because it looks like this is all we’re gonna see of the So Random gang until Spring.

ALEX CASTS A SPELL ON HERSELF TO BECOME A POSITIVE PERSON IN A NEW EPISODE OF “WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE,” FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Positive Alex” – Alex has a crush on George, the school’s band leader, but is unable to get his attention because he’s turned off by her sour attitude and unenergetic cheers at the school basketball games. Determined to get George to ask her to the school dance, she casts a spell on herself to become a positive person, but Alex’s newfound optimism turns out to be too much when she starts cheering for the opposing team. Guest starring is Austin Butler (“Zeke and Luther”) as George.

Ahh, so this is the episode with Austin Butler. And could it be, we actually get to see Cheerleader Alex? Heck yeah!

LONDON OFFERS HER FRIENDS ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO INVENT SOMETHING IN A NEW EPISODE OF “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK,” PREMIERING FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“London’s Apprentice” – When London’s father gives her one million dollars to find an invention to market, she enlists her friends to come up with a unique invention and offers them the cash as a prize. At first everyone comes up with their own ideas, but then they combine their resources, wreaking havoc on the ship with their multifunctional robot, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

A million dollar robot? Okay… I’m not sure I’m feeling this one.

Of course, we already know that Starstruck is airing on February 14th.

And Radio Disney’s Jake Whetter says that the new season of Sonny with a Chance “airs right before “Starstruck” premieres on February 14th. ” via Twitter. But if that is accurate, it seems strange that Disney wouldn’t mention it among all these other press releases. Maybe it will be Spring afterall…

As obsessive fans know , SWAC began filming season two last November.

Over at the SWAC forum, we where hopeful that Disney would push the first few episodes to air sooner than they normally would due to the delay of filming caused by Camp Rock 2.

But despite the obvious tie in with StarStruck and the fact that they’re running low on new episodes of all their shows, it looks like the second season will still air as originally expected, this spring.

Ali (AKA demistylesource) recently revived the following response from Disney Channel’s press department:

10 Things I Hate About You is returning to ABC Family on March 29th.

The first season was great, although I’ll admit that I started watching to see more of Meaghan Martin.

And then I kept watching to see more of Meaghan Martin.
