Edit: Oops. Looks like the video is gone now. I’m glad I made the screencaps when I did!

Edit2: Okay, let’s try this new video!

On CTL’s official page, they called this: “Disney XD’s I’m in the Band last episode.” the use of the phrase “last episode” kinda bothers me. Last in the season or what? :/

Well, I asked her on twitter and she said it was the last “of first season.” Whew. I was worried there for a moment!

Anyway, Caitlyn did a great job as always. She has a fantastic voice. :)

I’m In The Band Renewed for Season 2

Posted on: Monday, April 26th, 2010 in: Caitlyn Taylor Love, I'm In The Band

The Disney XD original series I’m In The Band will be returning for Season 2. Season one ended production some time ago, so I’m glad to see Disney channel’s Gary Marsh formally announce the new season today. Now if they’d only do the same for Wizards

I'm In The Band

I think I’m In The Band is a decent series. I’ve only seen six episodes so far, but I’m looking forward to seeing more. The creators have developed a unique premise for a show, and assembled a perfect cast to pull it off.

Official Disney Press release follows:

COMEDY SERIES “I’M IN THE BAND” STRIKES A CHORD
WITH A SECOND SEASON ORDER ON DISNEY XD

A second season of “I’m In The Band,” a music-filled, live-action comedy series about a teenager who realizes his wildest dream when he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, has been ordered by Disney XD, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in June in Hollywood, California.

The new season finds the band inching their way closer to an epic comeback and includes a one-hour special where Tripp joins arch-rival rock band Metal Wolf. Iron Weasel attempts to lure him back during Metal Wolf’s performance at the Super Bowl, and by happenstance, ends up stealing the spotlight.

“I’m In The Band’s” February 2010 premiere is Disney XD’s No. 1 series premiere on record in Total Viewers and Tweens 9-14, and the net’s No. 1 live-action series premiere ever across core kid and boy demos: Kids 6-14, Boys 6-14, Kids 6-11, Boys 6-11 and Tween Boys. The multi-camera comedy is from creators Michael B. Kaplan (“Frasier,” “Girlfriends”) and Ron Rappaport (“Date My Mom”) and is executive-produced by Kaplan and Richard Gurman (“Married…with Children,” “Still Standing”).

The series stars Logan Miller as Tripp Campbell, Steve Valentine as Derek Jupiter, Greg Baker as Burger Pitt, Stephen Full as Ash and Caitlyn Taylor Love as Isabella “Izzy” Fuentes.

“I’m In The Band” follows Tripp Campbell as he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, Iron Weasel, and becomes determined to help the band he idolizes make an epic comeback. He’s certainly got his work cut out for him with the trio of rock star misfits whose stars have fallen so far that they can’t even afford their own housing and are forced to share bunk beds in a guest room at Tripp’s house. Nonetheless, in their own off the wall way, the three stooges will do their best to help Tripp steer through his teenage years with the goal of turning him into a bona fide rock star and giving him the chance to live out his dream.

The series is produced by It’s A Laugh Productions and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

Shakira Guest Stars on Wizards in April!

Posted on: Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 in: Debby Ryan, Disney Channel News, I'm In The Band, Phineas and Ferb, Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place

We already know about the Good Luck Charlie premiere on April 4th, and the new SWAC on April 11th.

We we now know that Disney has another night of premieres planned for April 16th, with the kick off event being a special Wizards of Waverly Place episode guest staring Shakira!

Shakira and Selena Gomez - Wizards of Waverly Place

Two-time Grammy and seven-time Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Shakira and comedian Jeff Garlin guest star in a new episode of the hit comedy series, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” during Disney Channel’s popular programming event, “Night of Premieres,” FRIDAY, APRIL 16 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT). The evening also includes new episodes of the hit series “The Suite Life On Deck,” “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Phineas and Ferb” and the Disney XD comedy “I’m In The Band.”

The schedule for FRIDAY, APRIL 16 is as follows:

“The Suite Life On Deck” (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Rock the Kasbah” – While docked in Morocco, the shipmates go shopping at the famed Kasha, where Zack insists Cody try his hand at haggling with a shop owner. Meanwhile, London, Bailey, Marcus and Woody discover what they believe to be a magic lamp and meet a genie who offers to grant wishes, causing the friends to argue over which wish should be granted.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Dude Looks Like Shakira” – Alex, Justin and Max are shocked to discover that their Uncle Kelbo (Jeff Garlin) has transformed into international music sensation Shakira after he failed to follow the Main Eleven Wizards Rules.

“Phineas and Ferb” (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers” – After an all night sci-fi movie marathon, Candace is convinced that Ferb is an alien and she gathers evidence to prove it. The boys admit to doing something alien-esque, and Candace becomes increasingly frustrated when her plan to bust her brothers is compromised by the alien disguised as someone else in the family. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz is trying to sell an evil “-inator,” ostensibly as a cleaning device.

• “Ain’t No Kiddie Ride” – Phineas and Ferb decide to trick out the kiddie rides in front of the Tri-State Mart. Determined to bust them, Candace sits in a rocket ride so it can’t go anywhere until Mom shows up, but the rocket launches and Candace flies across Danville. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz plans to leave behind a legacy by burning his name into the atmosphere using his ozone “deplete-inator.”

“I’m In The Band” (9:30 -10:00 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Annoying Arlene” – Tripp takes his annoying classmate, Arlene Roca, on a date after he discovers her dad is a famous record producer. He gives her an Iron Weasel demo CD for her dad, but realizes it has the song “Annoying Arlene” on it. Now Tripp, Derek, Burger and Ash must find a way to retrieve it.

The premise for the I’m In The Band episode sounds rather interesting, actually. I’ll have to check that out. :)
