March Disney Channel Highlights

Posted on: Sunday, February 28th, 2010 in: Brenda Song, Chelsea Staub, Debby Ryan, Demi Lovato, Disney Channel News, JONAS, Jennifer Stone, Nicole Anderson, Selena Gomez, Sonny With a Chance, The Suite Life, Tiffany Thornton, Wizards of Waverly Place

Remember the Feb highlights post? It looks like Disney’s gonna start giving us monthly highlights. :)

March is gonna be a big month for DC Fans, starting with a special Suite Life on Deck.

“Once Upon a Suite Life” – During Ms. Tutweiler’s history lesson, Zack, Cody and London fall asleep and dream of themselves in classic fairy tales. London dreams that she is the evil witch trying to poison Snow White (Bailey), so she can be the fairest in the land; Cody imagines he and Zack are Hansel and Gretel as they get lost in the forest and find a candy cottage and Ms. Tutweiler, a witch; and Zack dreams of Jack and the Beanstalk, in which he trades the family cow for magic beans, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 5 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Then March 14th is a huge day, with the previously announced Hannah Montana S3 finale, and the Premiere of Sonny with a Chance Season two

“Walk A Mile In My Pants” – Sonny rallies everyone together for a “Walk-A-Thon For Books” and gets Tawni to donate her “Tawni Hart’s Extreme Skinny Jeans” for all of the participants to wear. Eventually everyone starts dropping out as a result of SPS – Skinny Pants Syndrome, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

It will be followed by a new JONAS, which is surprising. I thought they already used up all the S1 episodes. And there’s no way they could be done with a S2 episode already.

“Exam Jam” – As the JONAS World Concert Tour draws closer, Joe and Stella come to terms with being apart from one another over the summer. Meanwhile Kevin and Joe devise a plan to help Nick ace his geometry test after their dad threatens not to send the brothers on tour unless they pass all their school exams, in “JONAS,” premiering SUNDAY, MARCH 14 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

After that epic weekend, we get a new Wizards of Waverly Place.

“Detention Election” – Justin’s chances at becoming Student Body President are put in jeopardy after someone wallpapers Principal Laritate’s office with posters from Justin’s campaign and he is accused of masterminding the prank. Meanwhile, Alex befriends Stevie, a rebellious new girl in school, and Jerry, Max and Harper get stuck on a Ferris wheel during their trip to Coney Island in “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

And a new On Deck. This series must be nearing the end of the season, although I haven’t checked exactly how many more remain.

“Marriage 101″ – Ms. Tutweiler assigns her students a project where they must act like married couples and manage a household. Cody and Bailey are the quintessential perfect couple, and Zack and London make a surprisingly good couple too. When Woody and Addison have a child – Marcus – they learn how difficult adult life can be, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 19 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

And then we’ll wrap up the month with two more new Sonny with a Chance episodes.

“Sonny Get Your Goat” – When Sonny and Tawni learn the “Check It Out Girls” sketch is popular in Glendovia, Marshall arranges for an exchange program, not realizing that the Glendovians think the girls are real check-out girls and want them to be cashiers for a store’s grand opening. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady wear mustaches to fit in with their Glendovian exchange student, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 21 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

And

“Gassie Passes” – When the cast of “So Random!” finds out they are starring in a new movie based on their “Gassie” sketches, Demi showers the pup with affection by giving him too many dog treats. When Gassie passes out, the cast fears the worst, only to discover that Sonny’s treats caused Gassie to fall ill. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady receive money from a secret investor, who turns out to be Dakota Condor, to mass produce the Gassie lunch boxes that Zora invented, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 28 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Of course, Jennifer Stone’s new movie “Harriet the Spy: The Blog Wars” also premieres this month on the 26th. But no one cares about that. :P

Good news for Wizards and Suite Life fans! Mixed news for Sonny fans.

ZACK STEALS CODY’S THUNDER WHEN HE DISCOVERS AN ANCIENT PRINCESS CROWN IN A NEW EPISODE OF “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK,” FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Can You Dig It?” – While on a field trip to an archaeological site in South America, Cody is determined to find a crown from the tomb of an ancient princess, but Zack steals Cody’s thunder when he finds it while trekking off the beaten path. Meanwhile, the spirit of the ancient princess is awakened when her crown is discovered, and the princess speaks through Bailey, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

^ LOL

ALEX CASTS A SPELL ON HERSELF TO BECOME A POSITIVE PERSON IN A NEW EPISODE OF “WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE,” FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“Positive Alex” – Alex has a crush on George, the school’s band leader, but is unable to get his attention because he’s turned off by her sour attitude and unenergetic cheers at the school basketball games. Determined to get George to ask her to the school dance, she casts a spell on herself to become a positive person, but Alex’s newfound optimism turns out to be too much when she starts cheering for the opposing team. Meanwhile, Justin has joined the basketball team and is trying to get a big senior moment captured on video, in “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

Guest starring is Austin Butler (“Zeke and Luther”) as George.

Ahh, so this is the episode with Austin Butler. And could it be, we actually get to see Cheerleader Alex? Heck yeah!

LONDON OFFERS HER FRIENDS ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO INVENT SOMETHING IN A NEW EPISODE OF “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK,” PREMIERING FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

“London’s Apprentice” – When London’s father gives her one million dollars to find an invention to market, she enlists her friends to come up with a unique invention and offers them the cash as a prize. At first everyone comes up with their own ideas, but then they combine their resources, wreaking havoc on the ship with their multifunctional robot, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

A million dollar robot? Okay… I’m not sure I’m feeling this one.

Of course, we already know that Starstruck is airing on February 14th.

And Radio Disney’s Jake Whetter says that the new season of Sonny with a Chance “airs right before “Starstruck” premieres on February 14th. ;-)via Twitter. But if that is accurate, it seems strange that Disney wouldn’t mention it among all these other press releases. Maybe it will be Spring afterall…

Suite Life on Deck Season Three

Posted on: Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

It’s official! Production has started on Season 3 of The Suite Life on Deck.

Suite Life on Deck Season Three

Official disney Press release:

PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN ON THE THIRD SEASON OF
DISNEY CHANNEL’S HIT SERIES “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK”

Production has begun in Hollywood on Disney Channel’s hit series “The Suite Life on Deck,” a comedy that delivered record ratings in its first two seasons, ranking as TV’s #1 series among Kids 6-11 and, amidst all scripted TV series, in the top two spots among Tweens 9-14 for 2009 and 2008.

A spin-off of the hugely popular “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” the series follows identical twins Zack and Cody Martin, hotel heiress London Tipton, southern belle and Cody’s girlfriend Bailey Pickett and former singing teen sensation Marcus Little on a semester at sea aboard the luxurious SS Tipton. More often than not, the group’s antics make the dutiful cruise ship’s hotel manager, Mr. Moseby, want to walk the plank.

“The Suite Life on Deck” stars Dylan Sprouse as Zack Martin, Cole Sprouse as Cody Martin, Brenda Song as London Tipton, Debby Ryan as Bailey Pickett, Doc Shaw as Marcus Little and Phill Lewis as Mr. Moseby. Recurring cast members are Erin Cardillo as Ms. Tutweiller, Matthew Timmons as Woody and Windell Middlebrooks as Kirby.

Alright, I’d admit that press release doesn’t tell us much that we didn’t already know, but at least we know they’re back to work now. :)

Voyage into the Bermuda Triangle

Posted on: Monday, January 11th, 2010 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

And now for a trip into the Bermuda Triangle. Scary! ;)

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Oh, so that’s why they call them Bermuda shorts.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Right Bailey?

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Anyway, how could no one notice this?

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Like there’s a magical line that warps reality out in the ocean? LOL

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Okay, maybe there is.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

But at least Cody can pull off his new look.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

And Bailey seems intrigued.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

And look, London’s in this episode too.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

But the important thing is that the boys came together, before they where magically transported back to before any of it happened.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

Which made the whole thing rather pointless.

Suite Life on Deck Bermuda Triangle

… It’s a good thing Debby Ryan’s cute. ;)

Jordin Sparks on the SS Tipton

Posted on: Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

“Crossing Jordin” has to be one of my favorite season two Suite Life On Deck episodes.

Baily’s whole Guess, no you’ll never get it, Guess! part was hilarious.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

As was Marcus’s reaction to the news.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

I recently took a liking to Jordin Sparks when I heard a song of hers for the first time at, of all places, Downtown Disney! So it was exciting to have her pop up on a disney show mere months later.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Also in this episode, London meets her biggest fan. …ooookay.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

This is a good shot of the gang. Hey look, Cody has his arm around his lady. ;)

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Speaking of good shots, I love this one of Baily. LOL

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Jordin’s entire concert consisted of half of her single. WTH?

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

The boys decided to write Jordin a new song.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Zack quickly realized he needs Marcus’s help.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Now, this really doesn’t have anything to do with anything, but I never pass up a picture of Debby Ryan in bed.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

And here’s a cute pic of Brenda Song. Because I can.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

Now where was I, oh yeah, the guys decide to play their song for Jordin.

Suite Life On Deck Crossing Jordin

There’s clearly nothing going on there. Well, I hope you enjoyed! Be sure to click any picture to see the whole gallery of 1200 pics.

Roomies on Deck

Posted on: Monday, November 16th, 2009 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

For some reason that escapes all logic, someone decided that midway through season two was the perfect time to add a new cast member to the show. This episode “Romies” introduces Doc Shaw as Marcus Little.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

Zach isn’t thrilled with this new development, but he adapts.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

It quickly becomes apparent that Marcus is hiding something. Turns out he was a rapper when he was little. Lil’ Little to be exact.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

Meanwhile Cody feels emasculated by his girlfriend.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

Which I will admit can be hard to deal with, But just look at Baily, it’s totally worth it!

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

They also made a sort of gay joke in this episode, which surprised me!

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

But Zach managed to clear that up at the end with a little help from an autograph from Marcus.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

Also, here’s London. She didn’t do much in this episode.

Roomies Suite Life On Deck

Not enough London you say? Here’s one more of her with Bailey. Or you can just look through all the other 1237 screencaps yourself. :)

Suite Life on Deck Renewed

Posted on: Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

I hope Dylan and Cole aren’t feeling typecast! This will make the 7th season for their characters! I still liked the original series better (mostly ’cause it had Ashley Tisdale) but the spin off is also very well done, and it deserves to continue. And I certainly won’t complain about seeing more of Debby Ryan. ;)

The Suite Life on Deck Cast at World of Disney Store in New York

Speaking of Debby, here’s a video of Debby jumping on the trampoline during Mattel’s 10th Anual Party on the Pier this past Saturday at the Pacific Park in Santa Monica.

What follows is Disney’s press release about the renewal of the show:

DISNEY CHANNEL ORDERS MORE HIGH SEAS ANTICS WITH
A THIRD SEASON OF “THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK”

Disney Channel has ordered more high seas antics with a third season of “The Suite Life on Deck,” the hit comedy series set on a cruise ship. Production on the series will resume in Hollywood in early 2010, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.

2009-to date, “The Suite Life on Deck” is the #1 TV series among Kids 6-11 and the #2 scripted TV series among Tweens 9-14. It recently (October 2) posted series highs in Total Viewers (6.8 million) and across all target demos. In addition, Season Two to date, the series surpasses its first-season average by an impressive 24% in Total Viewers (5.1 million vs. 4.1 million), by 21% in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million vs. 1.9 million) and by 24% in Tweens 9-14 (2.1 million vs. 1.7 million). The series follows identical twins Zack and Cody Martin and hotel heiress London Tipton on a semester at sea aboard the luxurious SS Tipton. Joining the hijinks are London’s roommate Bailey, a sweet, southern girl who has just left her small-town Kansas roots to experience a whole new world, and Marcus Little, a former singing teen sensation who is now making a fresh start. More often than not, their antics make the dutiful cruise ship’s hotel manager, Mr. Moseby, want to walk the plank.

The series stars Dylan Sprouse as Zack Martin, Cole Sprouse as Cody Martin, Brenda Song as London Tipton, Debby Ryan as Bailey Pickett, Doc Shaw as Marcus Little and Phill Lewis as Mr. Moseby. Recurring cast members are Erin Cardillo as Ms. Tutweiller, Matthew Timmons as Woody and Windell Middlebrooks as Kirby.

The new season will be executive-produced by Pamela Eells O’Connell (“Family Matters”) and Irene Dreayer (“Sister, Sister,” “Smart Guy”). “The Suite Life on Deck” is produced by It’s A Laugh Productions for Disney Channel. It carries a TV-G parental guideline.

Goin’ Bananas On Deck

Posted on: Sunday, October 18th, 2009 in: Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, The Suite Life

I said a few days ago that I was gonna try and get caught up with posting Suite Life on Deck Season Two Screencaps, and I’m making progress with these “Goin’ Bananas” screencaps! :)

I really enjoyed the texting B-plot – especially London’s text message to Chelsea!

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

Woody’s C-plot with “Second life” was funny too.

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

But of course, the main plot point had to do with Zack’s alleged fear of Bananas.

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

I’m not sure why they dressed Cody up as a banana, though. That therapist seemed kinda shady.

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

Ink blots? Seriously? LOL

Speaking of illogical, why was Baily trying to study with London? LOL

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

I think she’s realized that’s not gonna work. Although she does help London discover her hand-writing talents.

The Suite Life On Deck - Goin' Bananas

Here’s one more pic of Baily with London. Why? I liked it. :P
