Reminder: Hannah Montana Ends Sunday

So it’s obvious that Miley’s ready to be done with Hannah, and it all comes to an end this coming Sunday. She’s already taken off the wig so this final episode instead deals with Ms Stewart’s career – will she choose College or a big movie role? She’s gonna pick college, there’s just no way disney would allow her not to.

I also wanted to share this article from the New York Daily News:

Miley Cyrus is almost done with “Hannah Montana Forever,” but will her famous alter ego, Miley Stewart, follow her to Hollywood or go to college?

This Sunday marks the finale of the Disney show that launched Cyrus to fame four years ago as a young teen. It’s a role she has been trying to shed since 2009, when the 16-year-old sparked controversy with what was considered an age-inappropriate pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards.

The newly released promo for “Kiss It All Goodbye” claims that Miley Stewart will make “the biggest decision ever” — whether to go to college or make a movie.

“Miley is not interested in doing any movies,” her dad (Cyrus’ real-life father, Billy Ray) says in the promo, which doesn’t seem to sit well with Stewart, though the clip does not reveal whether she obeys her father or follows her dream.

“I’m moving on, letting go,” Cyrus sings on the soundtrack.

Unfortunately, moving on to big screen roles in the likes of sorority comedy “So Undercover” may mean the 18-year-old singer-actress’ career is in for a free fall.

Hollywood.com’s box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian recently told the Daily News that Cyrus’ career has faltered from her attempts to separate herself from a “proven” Disney brand.

“When she’s herself or Hannah Montana, that’s money in the bank” he said. “When the image becomes confusing to the audience, it’s a problem.”

The “Hannah Montana Forever” finale airs on Sunday at 6 p.m. on the Disney channel.

Meanwhile, Cyrus has reportedly vowed to clean up her act.

The teen queen is said to have infuriated her mother Tish and dad Billy Ray Cyrus — who are set to divorce — when she was caught on film smoking a bong, so has promised her parents that she’ll start acting like a role model.

“Even though Miley is of legal age and able to make her own decisions in most matters, she still remains very close to her parents,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“She’s headstrong and likes to make her own decisions, but she truly loves her Mom and Dad.

“She knew right away that this video of her partying with ‘pals’ and puffing on a bong would send them over the edge.

“After listening to their terrible fears that she’s heading down the wrong path and losing control, Miley made this solemn vow to her parents: She will straighten up and start acting like the role model to young fans that she should be!”

And DC FAn, if you believe she’ll straighten up, I’ve got a bridge in brooklyn to sell you, too.

So sad, but I don’t see her righting the ship. She has money and a solo career thatg hasn’t taken off.

Not so sure about the reruns. Disney seems to air endless reruns of shows that are still in production or at least been picked up for a new season, but once they finish production, they seem to disappear within six months to a year. When did you last see a rerun of Jonas? Or the Suite Life (not on deck)? Or Corey in the House? In six months they’ll be pushing their latest new show, and it’ll be getting all the reruns

  6. Bill Schlichting says:

I could live with seeing reruns of “Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” Heck, I’d like to see “Phil of the Future” (mainly for Aly) and perhaps “Lizzie McGuire.” I’m sure there’s lots of time slots available to show older reruns, instead we’ll probably see the final episode of “Hannah Montana” 18 times in a period of a week.

  7. Fullmetal says:

actually, they do show reruns of the suite life of zach & cody once in a while. but thats probably because of the suite life on deck still being in production.

Disney’ XD Channel plays Suite Life of Z&C every night. I’m lucky to have that channel on Comcast. BTW, I liked Ashely Tisdale better when she was younger and had her big Jewish nose – LOL!

I really liked the HM final episode, especially the last 30 seconds and yeah, that was predictable. ;)

Miley is young and has lots of money. That is a bad combination and if you think I’m wrong look at others who came before her like Britney Spears. What a (HOT!) mess that was. It took Britney years to straighten herself out and that wasn’t before she was married twice and popped out two kids. :( I can see the same thing happening to Miley. One of the problems with these young stars is a lack of education and life experience needed to properly handle the type of situation they are in.

    “She’s gonna pick college”

Hey look, I was right. ;)

I liked the final episode. It was time for this series to wrap itself up, and I think they did a pretty good job of it.

  11. Fullmetal says:

of course she was gonna pick collage, lol. and i liked the finale too. i always made fun of how they wanted to end it at season 3 with blue jeans, when this type of ending is what anyone would think is how it ends. and i liked how they added emily into the song a made it a duet, it really made everything better with that song in the back and both of them singing it.
