I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s ever been, as they say, disappointing with Disney channel’s eccentric scheduling. From her new post as vice president for Programming at Disney Channel worldwide, Robin Agranoff is the one who will be in charge of that going forward. |

ROBIN AGRANOFF PROMOTED TO
VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAMMING, DISNEY CHANNELSRobin Agranoff has been promoted to vice president, Programming, Disney Channels, it was announced today by Paul DeBenedittis, senior vice president, Programming Strategy, Disney Channels Worldwide, to whom she will report. She continues to be responsible for managing programming planning and scheduling for ratings leader Disney Channel, its learning-focused block for preschoolers, Playhouse Disney (soon to be rebranded Disney Junior) and ABC Kids.
DeBenedittis said: “This well deserved promotion recognizes Robin’s dedication, her passion for kids programming and consistent creative scheduling strategies that most recently delivered Disney Channel to its most-watched year in the network’s history in Total Viewers and among the kid demographics we serve.”
Agranoff joined Disney Channel in 2005 as director, Programming Planning and Acquisitions for Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and ABC Kids, and was promoted to executive director, Programming Planning, Scheduling and Acquisitions in 2007.
Prior to her tenure at Disney she was director of Programming and Operations for Discovery Kids, overseeing the programming block on NBC, TLC and the Discovery Kids Channel. From 1998-2000 she worked for the ABC Television Network in research for daytime and children’s programming.
Agranoff began her career in 1994 at Turner Broadcasting, which included booking talent for Cartoon’s Network’s “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” and a position in Turner Entertainment Group’s research department.
A graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Speech, Agranoff is a volunteer big sister for Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles.
