Hellcats Premiere – A World Full of Strangers
My minute by minute thoughts on the Hellcats premiere episode “A World Full of Strangers”
Lancer University. I have to remember that.
“Happy little cult members?” LOL
“I don’t trust any culture that builds pyramids.” Wow. 
“They can’t” … “but they did” … “but they can’t” LOL
I’m loving the dramatic shot’s of Marti biking across campus.
It’s DB Woodside! I loved that guy on Buffy.
“You know what get’s me through?” “If it’s drugs, don’t tell me”
“are you actually threatening me, physically?” Wow. I’d kinda like to see that. 
“everyone’s staring” “we should leave quietly” LOL. This is good stuff.
Marti’s actually watching Bring it On? Those are some good moves. …except for that poor lamp.
Yay for sexy half naked extras.
Marti’s not wearing her number on her pants/shorts ’cause she’s special.
Why does Aly never wanna show her legs? not that I’m not loving the outfit.
Savannah is disturbed, but the coach is eating it up.
Why are the other girls in full uniform when they’re not actually doing anything?

“Cheertown, really?” My thoughts exactly.
Pillow fight? Yes please.
Hellcats sheets? Wow, these girls are obsessed.
Why did they put the new girl in with the captain? I know it’s easier for the story, but still.
“I’m a bottom myself… That’s a joke.”
Savannah is scaring me with that room tour. LOL
They’re threatening to de-fund the team? Maybe there won’t be any football groupie scholarships afterall. 
Okay… there’s some old history with the coach. Of course.
Law of Entropy? That guy is an idiot.
“Never mind, it’s your first day, I’ll make it for you” – yeah, she’s starting to scare me.
Alice is gonna try and destroy her to protect her own spot. At least that makes sense.
Naked Aly, err Marti. Close enough.
“Too bad. Got the body for it.” Okay, I like that guy.
So what’s the deal with Marti’s guy friend, Dan? He’s not the gay best friend. He’s not a brother. But he doesn’t seem romantically interested in her.
Marti in the uniform. Finally showin’ her legs.
Yeah, Savannah ‘s got it now.
I thought they wanted Marti as a flyer. Why isn’t she actually doing any, ya know, flying?
“Owww cold cold cold.” “Ice is your friend”
Why does everyone take gymnastics these days?
“And then she puked on me” “Shut up” OMG The look on Ashley’s face!
Marti really hates her mom. So do I.
Alice isn’t gonna invite Marti’s mom, is she?
Wow… Alice is willing to destroy herself in the process?
Yeah… Im looking at what you’re wearing, Marti.
Overall, that was pretty good. We’ve actually -
WTF!? A promo for Secretariat? Showcasing AJ? That girl seriously needs to stop sponging off her sister’s success.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, we’ve actually seen a lot of this episode already, but it was great to see it intact and in order. It actually felt more like a movie plot than a series kick off. I have a feeling the rest of the series will have a different feel once we get settled in, but for now a let me say it’s off to a very solid start. 4/5.
And I love how Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale have been getting a lot of media support for Hellcats. The cover of Seventeen is no small feat!
Ashley: “I’m a very positive person, that’s something that’s like my character Savannah. She’s very positive in everything that she does and I’m the same way in real life. If I feel like someone’s trying to bring me down, I just walk away from it. I just ignore it because sometimes when that happens you can get so involved that it does bring down your day.”
Yeah… Savannah’s positivity was kinda freakin’ me out.
Aly: “I think it’s important to see where compliments are coming from—if they’re compliments about your inside, your heart, or if they’re about your physicality or your personality. If a guy’s like ‘You’re so hot,’ that’s great but what about the other stuff? I think you can learn a lot about a guy from the way that he talks to you and the way that he compliments you. If he’s complimenting you when you’re just walking down the street and it’s something completely pure and of the moment, then that’s something you can take to heart.”
Note to self, when you meet Aly, don’t tell her you think she’s pretty…

It’s Aly and Tizz. I’d watch if they where wearing burkas.

actually, it seems pretty normal to me, lol. most shows have the football players wearing their jackets all the time and the cheerleaders in their uniforms.

Yeah, I was curious about the opening titles too. But it’s common not to have them in the first episode because you want to cram as much plot as possible in before the first commercial when people might change the channel
