Save 10 Things I Hate About You!

http://save10things.sds.me/10-things.jpg

The news broke via twitter Thursday evening that ABC Family’s 10 things has been canceled! Series Creator and Executive Producer Carter Covington tweeted on thursday: “Sad news… ABCFamily canceled the show :( Thanks 2 our AMAZING fans – U R the reason I do this! Enjoy the last 5 eps – they’re fantastic!”

It sounds like the decision was primarily made in response to lower than expected ratings. Which means that a sizable fan campaign has a reasonable chance of convincing the company to continue to invest in the show. So spread the word, and do it quickly! We need as many people as possible to write and call Disney and politely ask them to renew the show.

Save Our Seeker

The following is a message from separate group seeking to save Legend of the Seeker. They are still organizing their movement, but we wanted to do our part to spread awareness of their cause. You can connect with other Seeker fans here.

Legend of the Seeker is a Disney syndicated show that is based on The Sword of Truth fantasy novels by Terry Goodkind. On March 4, 2010 it was announced that Tribune/WGN had decided not to renew the series for a third season, but there was still a chance that the series would not be canceled. However, this past Monday, April 26, 2010, it was reported by Ausiello that Legend of the Seeker has been canceled. Despite the fact that the show had almost no promotion and an incredibly erratic airing schedule (4pm sometimes, 1am other times), it still averaged 2.5 million viewers (Nielsen ratings). The “Save Our Seeker” movement has been launched in response to the cancellation of the series.

The Suite Life on Deck Season Three Filming

http://g2i.us/images/suite-life-deck-cast.jpg

Last week Webmaster Greg was fortunate enough to attend the live audience filming for The Suite Life on Deck. Unfortunately, the filming ran long and as a result there wasn’t an opportunity for an autograph session with the cast. Greg had hoped to have an opportunity to discuss the possibility of a fourth season with the cast and crew. That didn’t happen; so we want to hear from you! Should we organize a stand by Save the Suite Life campaign? Or are three seasons enough? Email Webmaster Greg and let us know what you think!

I’m in the Band Season 2

I'm In The Band

The Disney XD original series I’m In The Band will be returning for Season 2. Season one ended production some time ago, so we’re glad to see Disney Channel’s Gary Marsh formally announce the new season. The creators have developed a unique premise for a show, and assembled a perfect cast to pull it off.

A second season of “I’m In The Band,” a music-filled, live-action comedy series about a teenager who realizes his wildest dream when he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, has been ordered by Disney XD, … The new season finds the band inching their way closer to an epic comeback and includes a one-hour special where Tripp joins arch-rival rock band Metal Wolf. Iron Weasel attempts to lure him back during Metal Wolf’s performance at the Super Bowl, and by happenstance, ends up stealing the spotlight.

Webmaster Greg also attended Emily Osment’s concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim on April 25th. Emily preformed all six songs from her EP, a cover of Radiohead’s “High and Dry,” and five new songs from her upcoming album.

Videos of Emily’s performance and of her opening act Allstar Weekend are posted on the DC Fans Blog.

I dont really care about the seeker, but i will be glad to help save 10 things. But relax it with the saving campaigns. disney are known to release an even better show just as soon as they cancel a good one.

10 Things is a show I like and it sucks that Family execs didn’t care for the ratings which I can admit have been poor compared to last summer so that’s their justification, well boo hoo.
Yalls just put good people out of work because the net really didn’t want this series to go beyond the initial 10 ep run but was kinda pressured into it.

  3. dcfan says:

knitwits run the programming at abc family. they should let the fans decide not ratings. stupid bunch of twits who cansel good shows.
the networks should cansel all stupid reality garbage that killed tv.
wonder if nick could pick up the show? since abc family is run by knitwits.they are running ned’s declassifaction on nick which one the main stars plays kat on 10 things.
what about flooding the email at abc family?

  4. meiamj says:

I watch Ned’s still when it comes on which is few and far in between.
