Last week I was fortunate enough to snag stand by tickets for last Friday’s live studio filming for The Suite Life on Deck. I had heard that On Deck was the hardest DC show to get into (not counting Hannah, ’cause that one’s impossible) so I was ecstatic just to have the opportunity!

At the Wizards filming I learned the importance of getting there early. And for On Deck I was determined to get there as early as possible. Me and my Mom got there at one, and we where the first ones there! I was shocked. As it turned out, only five stand by people showed up, and they actually had room for about 15 at last weeks show.
The episode I saw filmed was called “The Ghost and Mr. Martin” and it is part of season three. In this episode, the ship is docked in New Orleans and the cast is dressed in 1800s period costumes for a ball on the deck. London and Bailey are attempting to help Mr. Moseby overcome his fear of preforming in public. Meanwhile, Zach, Cody, and Woody are attempting to find and communicate with the ghost Captain that’s haunting Zach.
The SLOD set is unlike any other I’ve seen. The ship’s sky-deck set filled the entire stage in front of our audience area. All other scenes on other sets where pre-filmed and shown to us on the monitors. Combined with the other supplemental sets, On Deck probably has the largest set of any DC Show.
As a result, we only had two scenes to film, but they where nine and ten page scenes! So there where many takes and resets back to back. There where a variety of other supplemental shots for special effects (as I mentioned before, there is a ghost), and some other special effects involving Woody. From start to finish, it took four and a half hours! By the end it was starting to get a little crazy on set!
“Wow, this is a great take. I don’t even remember the beginning! … We’re all delirious and we want to go home” – Dylan Sprouse
“You’re Not Helping!” – Phill Lewis
“But Cosby impression did?” – Assistant Producer
At 9:25, they wrapped the last supplemental shots and practically threw us all out! Apparently union rules required them to have the audience physically outside the building by 9:30. I tell ya, SAG has a lot weird rules! LOL. Obviously, we didn’t have time for an autograph session, which was a disappointment. I have met Debby before, but I really did want to meet Phill and Brenda, plus ask the cast and crew if they want to do another season or if they’re happy if season three is the end (which it probably will be). Because we wouldn’t have time to get autographs, they gave us these presigned script covers:

I would have loved to meet everyone, but I’m not complaining. I feel very blessed to have been able to go and see the show filmed. I mean, I got to see Debby dance around and lip-sync to Justin Beiber in a period dress! I watched as Brenda and Debby where literally eating the set between takes! And I learned why the director doesn’t take Matthew Timmons (Woody) seriously – “Because you’re covered in gelatin!”
I learned a couple spoilers as well (highlight to read) => Doc Shaw’s character Marcus Little was written off the show. Also, Cody and Bailey break up. <= Unfortunately, both hose things happened in episodes prior to the one I saw, so they’re only refrenced and that’s all I know about them. Oh, and Debby’s favorite costume was her Naomi Wyoming pop-star outfit, which I also thoroughly enjoyed.

On Sunday, I was in Anaheim to see Emily Osment at the House of Blues.
And after she wrapped up her show at 9, I ran over to Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland for a few hours before they closed.

I actually ended up getting stuck on the Indiana Jones ride, but that’s another story.
Anyway, as I passed the ticket booths, I looked at the movie posters they had up, as I always do. But this time, I saw a Sonny with a Chance poster!

I know we’ve seen that graphic before, but I still think it was really cool that they’re actually promoting the show at the park. I can’t recall them ever doing that for any DC series.

But all is not copasetic at this rocking teen paradise. Across the lake glistens the new Camp Star: a high-tech, big-money music camp funded by Brown’s former band mate-with-a-grudge, Axel Turner. Down-to-earth Camp Rock may have passion, talent and commitment, but Camp Star boasts resources, infrastructure and money — enough money to poach Camp Rock’s counselors and put Camp Rock out of business.
But Axel isn’t counting on a natural born leader named Mitchie, who vows to save her beloved camp and her friends’ summer. Clipboard in hand, she organizes the older Camp Rockers into counselors and keeps the camp running. Then Mitchie steps it up again… by challenging the egocentric Camp Star to a Final Jam — an end-of-summer performance duel… may the best camp win.

It is based on characters created by Karin Gist, Regina Hicks, Julie Brown and Paul Brown. The director and co-producer is DGA Award winner Paul Hoen (Disney Channel’s “The Cheetah Girls One World” and “Jump In”). The producer is Kevin Lafferty and the executive producer is Alan Sacks. “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam” is a production of Coin Flip Productions, Ltd and Alan Sacks Productions.

I was supposed to see Emily Osment at her show on March 7, 2010 but it was rescheduled. So I had to wait a little bit longer than I wanted, but it was worth the wait.
I saw Emily play the House of Blues in Anaheim yesterday (04/25/10)

She had Allstar Weekend with her as her opening act.

Allstar Weekend is preparing for their debut album to come out later this year, and they where okay. For a boy band. LOL

A lot of the girls there actually seemed a lot more excited to see the guys than they where to see Emily. As J pointed out, they must find them cute.
Personally, I’d much rather look at Emily. (Even if she’s wearing more than just a bikini.)

Emily preformed all six songs from her EP, a cover of Radiohead’s “High and Dry,” and five new songs from her upcoming album.

She did am amazing job. She seems a lot more comfortable on stage and has improved all around since the last time I saw her preform.

I really enjoyed her new songs as well. One called “Truth or Dare” is a very powerful high-energy song. Another called “1 800 Clap Your Hands” has a great indy feel to it. And the recently leaked online “One Of Those Days” is a very well written song as well.
Videos will take some time to sort through and upload. Look for those to be posted Tuesday or Wednesday. And if you’re wondering why I tagged the pics this time, it’s because I’m still pissed at Oceanup for taking my last set of pics without crediting me.

The Disney XD original series I’m In The Band will be returning for Season 2. Season one ended production some time ago, so I’m glad to see Disney channel’s Gary Marsh formally announce the new season today. Now if they’d only do the same for Wizards…

I think I’m In The Band is a decent series. I’ve only seen six episodes so far, but I’m looking forward to seeing more. The creators have developed a unique premise for a show, and assembled a perfect cast to pull it off.
Official Disney Press release follows:
COMEDY SERIES “I’M IN THE BAND” STRIKES A CHORD
WITH A SECOND SEASON ORDER ON DISNEY XD
A second season of “I’m In The Band,” a music-filled, live-action comedy series about a teenager who realizes his wildest dream when he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, has been ordered by Disney XD, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in June in Hollywood, California.
The new season finds the band inching their way closer to an epic comeback and includes a one-hour special where Tripp joins arch-rival rock band Metal Wolf. Iron Weasel attempts to lure him back during Metal Wolf’s performance at the Super Bowl, and by happenstance, ends up stealing the spotlight.
“I’m In The Band’s” February 2010 premiere is Disney XD’s No. 1 series premiere on record in Total Viewers and Tweens 9-14, and the net’s No. 1 live-action series premiere ever across core kid and boy demos: Kids 6-14, Boys 6-14, Kids 6-11, Boys 6-11 and Tween Boys. The multi-camera comedy is from creators Michael B. Kaplan (“Frasier,” “Girlfriends”) and Ron Rappaport (“Date My Mom”) and is executive-produced by Kaplan and Richard Gurman (“Married…with Children,” “Still Standing”).
The series stars Logan Miller as Tripp Campbell, Steve Valentine as Derek Jupiter, Greg Baker as Burger Pitt, Stephen Full as Ash and Caitlyn Taylor Love as Isabella “Izzy” Fuentes.
“I’m In The Band” follows Tripp Campbell as he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, Iron Weasel, and becomes determined to help the band he idolizes make an epic comeback. He’s certainly got his work cut out for him with the trio of rock star misfits whose stars have fallen so far that they can’t even afford their own housing and are forced to share bunk beds in a guest room at Tripp’s house. Nonetheless, in their own off the wall way, the three stooges will do their best to help Tripp steer through his teenage years with the goal of turning him into a bona fide rock star and giving him the chance to live out his dream.
The series is produced by It’s A Laugh Productions and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

Posted on: Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 in: Bikinis (or Less!), Emily Osment
Emily spent a few days relaxing in the Bahamas earlier this month.
On April 3rd she summed up her thoughts on a well deserved break in two tweets: “BAHAMAS” and “: ) : ) : )”.
Well said Emily.
Anyway, here’s a new picture of Emily Osment in a Bikini on the beach with her band mates.

It’s not enough to get to play on stage with her, but they get to see her half naked too? It’s just not fair!
Credit to dcfan for sharing this picture. Be sure to check out the previous batch of Emily Osment bikini pictures he found if you haven’t already.
And while we’re on the subject, here’s another pic of Emily pool side with a fan. You can’t see too much, but she’s still cute. And the fan isn’t too bad lookin’ either.

Anyone here remember Maiara Walsh?
She played Meena in the short-lived Disney Channel series Cory in the House before landing a role on ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

Anyway, Chris thought some of you would like seeing her in a tiny red bikini.

And I guess she’s pretty cute. I never really noticed her to be honest.

Posted on: Monday, April 19th, 2010 in: Alyson Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Hellcats
I’ve been meaning to write this post for the past couple days, but we keep getting new and better pics, so I have to keep starting over!
Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale few to Vancouver on Easter Sunday to begin work on their new cheerleading series Hellcats.
Tizz tweeted a photo of her and Aly observing a cheer competition on March 11th.

Looks like they make quite a team.
A few days later, we get a couple pics of a smiling Ashley. “On set! Hellcats, Hellcats…..Go big BLUE! Lol”

Then, on March 14th, Aly tweeted “Filming one of the big cheer numbers for Hellcats today. Thanks for all the support everyone…this show will blow ur mind! xo aly”

And this is when I started getting really excited. Not only does Aly look amazing, but she’s in a midriff showing outfit!

No belly button piercing though. I guess her character is supposed to be even more of a “good girl” than Aly is!
Then on Friday, April 16th it was Ashley’s turn: “Hellcats!! Shooting my big cheer number today!!!!!”

I wish I had a jaw drop smiley on here, ’cause Ashley looks amazing.

I don’t know anything about the writing style, or any of the plots, but at this point, I don’t really care!
Be sure to click any photo above to see the rest of the filming photos. There’s a nice one of Tizz’s butt in those short shorts. And more pictures will be added to the same gallery set as I get them.
