Wow, this year is looking like it’s going to be a busy one for Ashley Tisdale!

Aly tweeted earlier today that her and Ashley are leaving for Hellcats filming in Vancouver on Sunday. And now we know that Tizz is filming a new Sharpay spinoff movie this summer. But not only is she staring, she’s also an executive producer. So she’s gonna make some really good money on this project.
SHARPAY EVANS IS BACK IN THE SPOTLIGHT IN
“SHARPAY’S FABULOUS ADVENTURE,”
A DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE SLATED
FOR A 2011 PREMIERE ON DISNEY CHANNEL
– Ashley Tisdale Stars and Executive-Produces –
The irrepressible diva Sharpay Evans, recent graduate of East High School, seizes the spotlight in “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure,” a Disney Channel Original Movie scheduled to begin production this summer for a 2011 premiere. The incomparable Ashley Tisdale will reprise the role she made so popular in the “High School Musical” TV movies and feature film. Tisdale will also serve as executive producer of the movie which was written by Robert Horn (producer of Broadway’s “13″ and writer/producer of “Designing Women”). Barry Rosenbush and Bill Borden (both of the “High School Musical” movies) will also serve as executive producers of the movie.
In making the announcement, Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide, said: “In ‘Sharpay,’ Ashley Tisdale brought to life one of the most memorable comedic characters we’ve seen in years. This movie captures the absolutely perfect next chapter in Sharpay’s life, as she tries to cultivate the humanity buried, deep, deep within her – a challenging and hilarious endeavor.”
Aspiring thespian Sharpay Evans, who was once a big, fabulous fish in a small pond (a man-made pond at a resort country club that her father owns), is finally about to meet her destiny on Broadway, and luckily, theater lighting highlights her hair and skin tone beautifully. Her big break comes after a talent scout spots her performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala, and now there’s not a marquee big enough or lights bright enough to contain the glorious fame she plans on having. Sharpay and Boi head to New York, but theatre is a dog eat dog world, and nothing turns out as Sharpay expects, especially when she meets her match in a rather daunting Broadway starlet (who arrived in Midtown Manhattan as a recent winner of “So You Think You’re America’s Most Talented Performing Idol”).
The Great White Way is all Sharpay’s ever dreamed of, especially since she already has everything else. Life in the big city is a shock, but there’s an even bigger bombshell when Sharpay finally realizes the Broadway role is really for Boi, not her. Putting her disappointment aside, she sets out to make Boi the most fabulous canine star to hit the stage, with the hope that his fame will become her fame (after all, she is his entourage and she holds the leash). Before long, Sharpay makes a new friend in a student filmmaker, Callem, who finds her to be a fascinating subject. Meanwhile, Boi finds puppy love on a Big Apple adventure of his own.

Looks like the Hellcats folks want Ashley Tisdale as a brunette. Which makes sense since Aly’s the blond.
Anyway, here are some recent pics of Ashley at Perez Hilton’s Birthday Party on March 27 2010.

She looks absolutely stunning, as usual. <3

Important announcement!
DC Fans is moving to a new host (again). I’ve been very happy with our current host, but they have decided to discontinue the service we are currently using, so we’re going to have to move the site again.
I’ve been sorting through our options for the past few weeks, but so far I haven’t been able to find a new host that will allow us to keep our image gallery intact.
I intend to move the main blog to a new host within the next week. Once the blog is transferred I will continue looking for possibility to keep the gallery online. The DC Fans forum will also be going offline temporarily. In the meantime, you’re welcome to chat at the SWAC Forum.
I apologize for any inconvenience during the transition. And please follow us on twitter @dcfanstv to stay up to date on the move. Thank you.

I went to the filming for Disney XD’s new show “Pair of Kings” at the Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood today. As you might remember, I tried to get into the first episode two weeks ago, but didn’t. I had the opportunity to try again today, and I’m very glad I did!

Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw make a very good team. Mitchel is clearly the “star” and the “lead twin” but that’s to be expected. Although I have to say, Mitchel flubbed a lot of lines. Like, maybe a dozen over the course of the episode. No one else had more than one. LOL

Doc Shaw seemed lake a pretty cool guy. I should have asked him what was happening with “On Deck” but I didn’t. Oops.
His “On Deck” cast mates Cole and Dyan Sprouse showed up to support him, but they stayed off to the side and I didn’t get to talk to them.

I don’t know where Disney finds all these cute new actresses. Eighteen year old Kelsey Chow is absolutely adorable. And judging by her reaction to the photo I asked her to sign, she hasn’t signed too many before. But trust me when I say she’s gonna be a big star in a year or two.
And I just have to say that for a show that’s supposed to be aimed at boys, there sure where a lot of girls there to see Mitchel (and Doc). LOL
I don’t want to give away too much about the plot, but the episode I saw filmed today had to do with surfing, and beach bully. Despite being kings, Brady and Boomer sure seem to have to deal with a lot of commoner issues.
It’s an interesting premise overall, the writing is fresh, and the actors execute it well. I don’t see this show becoming a breakaway hit, but it’s a very solid effort and well worth a watch.

Wow, can you imagine it? “Keely” is old enough to drink today!
It’s been four years since Phil ended, and it looks like Aly’s finally coming back from that. Bandslam is out on DVD. Easy A is opening later this year. And of course, she’s about to start work on Hellcats with Ashley Tisdale.

Again, Happy Birthday Aly! And don’t party too much.

We already know about the Good Luck Charlie premiere on April 4th, and the new SWAC on April 11th.
We we now know that Disney has another night of premieres planned for April 16th, with the kick off event being a special Wizards of Waverly Place episode guest staring Shakira!

Two-time Grammy and seven-time Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Shakira and comedian Jeff Garlin guest star in a new episode of the hit comedy series, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” during Disney Channel’s popular programming event, “Night of Premieres,” FRIDAY, APRIL 16 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT). The evening also includes new episodes of the hit series “The Suite Life On Deck,” “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Phineas and Ferb” and the Disney XD comedy “I’m In The Band.”
The schedule for FRIDAY, APRIL 16 is as follows:
“The Suite Life On Deck” (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Rock the Kasbah” – While docked in Morocco, the shipmates go shopping at the famed Kasha, where Zack insists Cody try his hand at haggling with a shop owner. Meanwhile, London, Bailey, Marcus and Woody discover what they believe to be a magic lamp and meet a genie who offers to grant wishes, causing the friends to argue over which wish should be granted.
“Wizards of Waverly Place” (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Dude Looks Like Shakira” – Alex, Justin and Max are shocked to discover that their Uncle Kelbo (Jeff Garlin) has transformed into international music sensation Shakira after he failed to follow the Main Eleven Wizards Rules.
“Phineas and Ferb” (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers” – After an all night sci-fi movie marathon, Candace is convinced that Ferb is an alien and she gathers evidence to prove it. The boys admit to doing something alien-esque, and Candace becomes increasingly frustrated when her plan to bust her brothers is compromised by the alien disguised as someone else in the family. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz is trying to sell an evil “-inator,” ostensibly as a cleaning device.
• “Ain’t No Kiddie Ride” – Phineas and Ferb decide to trick out the kiddie rides in front of the Tri-State Mart. Determined to bust them, Candace sits in a rocket ride so it can’t go anywhere until Mom shows up, but the rocket launches and Candace flies across Danville. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz plans to leave behind a legacy by burning his name into the atmosphere using his ozone “deplete-inator.”
“I’m In The Band” (9:30 -10:00 p.m., ET/PT)
• “Annoying Arlene” – Tripp takes his annoying classmate, Arlene Roca, on a date after he discovers her dad is a famous record producer. He gives her an Iron Weasel demo CD for her dad, but realizes it has the song “Annoying Arlene” on it. Now Tripp, Derek, Burger and Ash must find a way to retrieve it.
The premise for the I’m In The Band episode sounds rather interesting, actually. I’ll have to check that out.

OMG! OMG! OMG! *Jumps Up and Down*
I am so freakin’ excited! Remember when I told you about Aly Michalka’s new show Hellcats on the CW?
Well guess who just got added to the cast, Ashley Tisdale!!!

As reported by JJJ:
Ashley Tisdale is joining the Hellcats!
The 24-year-old actress will play Sierra, the peppy and fiercely intense captain of the Hellcats who, after an initial clash with Marti (Aly Michalka), her new roommate, realizes that she just might be the godsend the Hellcats need to win the championship, THR reports.
Hellcats follows Marti, a college girl from the wrong side of the tracks who, after losing her scholarship because of budget cutbacks and her mother’s (Gail O’Grady) chronic irresponsibility, joins the Hellcats, the college’s competitive cheerleading team.
I can’t even begin to imagine the amazingness of Aly & Ashley together and as cheerleaders to boot! It’s already my favorite show, and it hasn’t even filmed yet!
