So as you may have heard, Emily’s been doing a few shows in California in advance of the release of her EP “All the Right Wrongs” on October 27, 2009.
If all goes to plan, I will be able to see her tomorrow, and I’ll share any photos I can take. But in the meantime, I wanted to share those photos from her performance at Jerry’s in Bakersfield, CA on September 23rd. It might have been worth the drive to see her then, but I was already at Miley’s concert that day.
If you can’t read it, it says “Oh my my, oh hell yes” on her arm!
She looks like she’s really into it.
I’d really like to hear from someone that was there. It looks like she put on quite a show!

What’s your favorite song from her album? I’m really digging “I won’t Apologize” and “Naturally.”

Unfortunately, my photos didn’t come out as good as I had hoped. I wasn’t terribly close but I was close enough that I thought I’d be able to get some really good pics.
On the last day of the D23 Expo, we had by far the most amazing event of the entire event, the Wizards of Waverly Place Cast and Crew Panel. In attendance where Selena Gomez (Alex Russo), David Henrie (Justin Russo), Jake T. Austin (Max Russo), Jennifer Stone (Harper), Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa Russo), Todd J. Greenwald (Creator), and Peter Murrieta (Executive Producer). David DeLuise (Jerry Russo) had been scheduled to appear, but had injured himself the night before when he got a little too exited about their Emmy win.
The event opened with the screening of the first season three episode. In this episode, Justin creates a monster to keep Alex out of his room, but things don’t go as planned.
Alex actually ends up trying out for cheer leading!
And of course, Selena was as cute as ever. Even with her short hair.
Anyway, after the video, they brought out the cast for an hour long Q&A. Most of the questions that Peter asked them where the usual sort of stuff, like “favorite memories” for example. There where more interesting questions from the audience, but most of those questions ened up being requests for hugs from Selena and David! The last question was actually a marriage proposal for David! They brought the girl up on stage and she got down one knee and everything! It was an insanely awesome event.
Check out the videos below to get a feel for it.
After the panel ended, they closed the show with a performance by Honor Society.

As I mentioned in My Miley Recap (part 1), it takes a little while for me to get everything posted. I don’t have the still photos uploaded yet, but I do have my videos uploaded! Miley preformed a total of 18 songs, and I was able to record 12 of them. I’d have liked to have recorded them all, but I didn’t have enough battery power to take that much video.

By now, you all should know that it takes me a few days to get all my concert stuff posted. And I haven’t finished posting stuff from the D23 Expo yet either. Eeep.
Anyway, I saw Miley this evening (09/23/09) at the Honda center in Anaheim CA. I was second row up from the floor and ~ ten rows back from the front part of the stage. A lot better than I thought from the original floor plan!
Miley put on a fantastic show. I’ve always thought she was cute. I’ve always thought she was a good singer. But I know both of those things now. I’m really just in awe. It’ll take a day or two for me to be able to better translate my feelings into words
Her set was a full 90 minutes, one of the longest I’ve been to and I lost track of the track list long before she finished. Fortunately, it’s already been posted online.

…looks about right. I got as far as “Hoedown Throwdown” before my camera started complaining of a low battery. I didn’t have a spare with me, so I had to be a lot more conservative with my photos and vids because I wanted to make sure I could record my favorite Miley song: “See You Again”

I’ve included the Radio Disney press release below, but I also wanted to post this photo set of Selena leaving The Alexa Chung Show last month. Even with the short hair, she looks very cute.
