Emily Osment wins “Best Sidekick” at 2009 TCAs
What follows is a message from Emily that was just emailed to everyone who has registered on her new official website.
Good morning!
I thought I would take some time to sum up these past, very crazy few weeks. I am happy to say we are getting SO CLOSE to my EP coming out, and I can’t wait for you guys to actually hear the REAL DEAL. I will be taking over Radio Disney THIS Friday and personally releasing my first single “All The Way Up”, so please tune in! I am also celebrating the launch of my first website www.officialemilyosment.com. It’s up and running so one of the first things you have to do is check out the Merch store. I’ve been working on designs for weeks so hopefully I’ll run into a few of you around LA sporting a cool Emily Osment t-shirt, or accessory!
On a different note, I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for me for Teen Choice! Wow, forget about “Emily” you can all just call me “Choice Sidekick”, I might have to break out my ninja skillz. Hehheh. I had so much fun on Sunday presenting, watching the show, seeing all my friends, and talking with YOU GUYS. What a dream come true.
Thanks for all the support and please tune in this Friday the 14 to hear me talk about the upcoming release of my EP All The Right Wrongs. I’ll see you then!

Emily really deserved to win except i don’t see her as a ‘sidekick’. I see her as the star with Miley tagging along. Emily IMO is still the far better actress ahead of Miley. Now to be fair Miley has improved the most of the two over the course of three years which is saying alot but still compared to Emily the acting levels are different. Emily seems more advanced with her movements and timing. Her delivery and precision are impeccable. I just hope she will not be continued to be viewed as a ‘sidekick’ and Miley’s at that.

There is no way to argue that Miley is not the star. She’s the title character and the main character. Emily wasn’t even in half of the movie.
Emily’s gonna need a big breakout role to lose her “sidekick” status

Well your right bout M needing a bigger role and her character not being the title character and bout her not being in half the movie. I still see her as the better actress over Miley.

Well, “better” isn’t always what matters.
