Disney sensation Demi Lovato will tour with American Idol runner-up David Archuleta on a tour this summer. Dates have yet to be announced but the two are scheduled to hit venues across the country starting in July.

Lovato just released her third single from her debut album, “Don’t Forget,” which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. She also recently released a deluxe edition of the album with new songs and is expected to release a new album by the end of summer.

She currently stars in Disney’s hit show “Sonny With a Chance” and will also be starring in this summer’s Disney Channel original movie, “Princess Protection Program.” A sequel to “Camp Rock,” which she starred in with the Jonas Brothers, is currently in the works. She also toured with the Jonas Brothers last summer.

“A Little Too Not Over You”, Archuleta’s second single from his debut album, is currently climbing up the pop charts. The two teens can currently be found in the Top 10 on Radio Disney.

An official announcement as well as tour dates are expected to be announced soon.

It might be nice to see her again, but I probably won’t go see Demi this year. If any of you readers go, be sure to let us know! :)

And OT I know, I am gonna go see The Veronicas this summer.

Alex Does Good

I’ve uploaded screencaps for the newest WOWP episode, “Alex Does Good.” This episode was kinda weird, ’cause it showed Alex doing nice things for others. I was like, “WTF? Alex is self-centered. something’s wrong.”

I really thought she was losing it at the beginning of the episode

But things seemed more normal once she Alex and Mr. Laritate had some tea.

And Harper! LOL

Oh look, Alex changed clothes.

And isn’t this the former art teacher? Or am I seeing things?

Oh look, it’s Max and his date.

And now, it’s Max the clown. Yep.

Anyway, let’s see how many ribbons Harper has got while we where distracted by Max.

Article: Miley Cyrus says she’s “smarter than you think”

Posted on: Thursday, April 9th, 2009 in: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus brings her wildly popular Hannah Montana character to U.S. movie theaters on Friday after a year of publicity that left fans and parents wondering if the 16-year-old Disney sensation might be growing up too fast.

First, there was the “Vanity Fair” cover shot last June in which Cyrus was draped only in a bed sheet. Parents complained that it was an inappropriate move for the schoolgirl star their young daughters idolize.

Then there were personal pictures of her leaked on the Internet showing a strip of her green bra. More recently, a snapshot of her making “slant eyes” prompted an Asian group to say it was “mocking and denigrating” to people of Asian descent.

She has apologized, said pictures were taken out of context and complained that the media were trying to turn her into Hollywood’s latest “bad girl.”

“I almost feel like people think of me as dumb,” said Cyrus, who recently created her own personal “Rumor Patrol” blog on MileyCyrus.com.

“I’m like, I’m smarter than you think. You know, I understand what you’re trying to do. It’s all a mind game and what not,” she said.

Cyrus, the daughter of country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, spent her first 13 years in Tennessee.

In 2006 she landed a role on the Disney Channel’s (DIS.N) “Hannah Montana,” a sitcom about a teenage girl named Miley Stewart who has a secret identity as rock star Hannah Montana.

Since then, Cyrus has sold more than 7 million albums, raked in $65 million at the box office with her concert film “Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour 3-D,” and started her own fashion line.

EDGIER ROLES

In “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” Stewart’s father — played by real-life dad Billy Ray — takes her home to Tennessee for some ego downsizing after she gets swept up in the Hollywood fame game.

Back home, Hannah falls victim to an exploding birthday cake, sits on raw eggs and gets into a cat fight with supermodel Tyra Banks over a pair of designer shoes.

“It was a bit scary,” said Cyrus, “but it was fun.”

Cyrus said that in general, it is difficult being a kid in Disney’s stable of child stars because it leads to a squeaky-clean reputation that any teenage girl would find tough to measure up to.

“I feel like some people will almost think of me as a joke because of it,” she said.

As a result, she is now trying to move into more nuanced parts and put Hannah Montana behind her. Cyrus sees the new movie as a first step.

“The big reason I did the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie is because (film) is something I really want to do for the rest of my life,” she said.

Her next project is a movie based on a book that Nicolas Sparks — the author of “A Walk to Remember,” “The Notebook,” and “Nights in Rodanthe” — is writing and adapting for her.

“It’s more of an edgy role, which I’m excited to do,” said Cyrus. “It’s really important to me that people think of me as a real artist.”

I have to say, and I’m honestly surprised to be saying this, but i am very much looking forward to seeing the HM movie. I don’t know if that will be motivation enough to see it in the theater (HSM3 was one thing, this is… I dunno different) but we’ll see.

And I do have more respect for Miley than I did even a couple months ago. But of course, a couple months ago Miley was falling out of her top and half naked, so I dunno if that’s really saying much! :)

Sonny Learns Three’s Not Company

Posted on: Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 in: Demi Lovato, Sonny with a Chance, Tiffany Thornton

“Three’s Not Company” was a very good Sonny episode, and a definite favorite so far.

I mean we go to see scenes like Tawni play a nerd,

Sonny With a Chance Three's Not Company

And Sonny’s makeup fiasco. LOL

But I’m getting ahead of myself. The main plot point, of course, is Sonny’s friend Lucy from Wisconsin pays her a visit. And I’ll say, Lucy knows how to properly greet Tawni.

We also learn that Nico and Grady have some issues with studio security. Especially when it involves pizza.

Poor Chad. But that’s what he gets for only inviting the girls.

Speaking of Chad’s party, Tawni and Lucy where looking pretty good in their party dresses.

And of course, Sonny was looking cute as ever.

But in the end, Chad gets caked and the girls all make up. Alls well that ends well, I suppose.

Posted on: Sunday, April 5th, 2009 in: Demi Lovato, Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus

I just wanted to give a reminder that Demi Lovato’s new deluxe version of “Don’t Forget” was released last Tuesday. It includes two bonus songs and a bunch of video extras.

And of course, the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack was released the week prior to “Don’t Forget” in advance of the HM movie. This soundtrack has a total of 18 songs, with 12 credited to Miley/Hannah.
