Some Random Selena Bikini Updates

Posted on: Wednesday, February 11th, 2009 in: Selena Gomez

While I was looking though the web sites usage statistics, I ended up looking over quite a few linking and similar sites, and I came across a few Selena photos I hadn’t seen before that I thought I would share.

The first one that caught my eye was this one of Selena wearing a bikini top underneath a purple top.

Next, there where several new photos from her beach trip last August. I’ve added them to the existing album.

Article: Disney magic comes to Hemet museum

Disney experts told inside stories about the company’s founder, his Anaheim theme park and the making of “Mary Poppins” at the Western Center for Archeology and Paleontology.

The occasion was a preview of “The Music Behind the Magic: Disney 1928-Today,” opening today.

The exhibit features Disney memorabilia from cartoons, live-action films, TV and Broadway, as well as several interactive features.

Museum officials say hosting a pop culture exhibit will help expose children to its scientific content as well.

Four Disney fans who became company staffers met with guests and engaged in an hour-long Q&A.

Panelists at the Thursday event included:

Disney records producer Randy Thornton

Disney artist and historian Stacia Martin

Historian and DVD producer Les Perkins

Artist and composer Alexander Rannie

All joined the company after Walt Disney’s death in 1966. But they have accumulated a wealth of knowledge about him and his company.

Among the tales they shared:

Walt Disney would rummage through his staff’s trash cans over the weekend to look for discarded ideas. One salvaged idea became “The Ballad of Davey Crockett.”

Working with Disney could be stressful to his staff.

“If Walt came into the studio in a bad mood, the security guard would call to the secretary and let people know. ‘He’s wearing the bear suit today,’ ” Thornton said. “Then they would know to kind of give Walt some room and let him go. … a page would run usually through the place going ‘Man is in the forest! Man is in the forest!’ ”

The Sherman brothers, who created the score for “Mary Poppins,” wrote twice as many songs as made it into the movie.

The song “A Spoonful of Sugar” was inspired by the Salk vaccine.

Glynnis Johns, who played Mrs. Banks, was convinced she was hired to play the title role. They had to come up with a number on the fly to compensate.

There isn’t a network of tunnels under Disneyland. Martin, who is based at the park, said there is one master throughway. She said Florida’s Walt Disney World has a huge underground of “utilidors.”

Fantasia ice cream is still available in an ice cream shop on the east side of Main Street. The treat had been popular at the now-closed Carnation Plaza Gardens.

The office building where Thornton works has a kitchenette called Kitch-Annette, in honor of Annette Funicello, who was as big a pop culture icon in the ’60s as Miley Cyrus is today.

The panelists say the Disney corporation has a growing respect for its heritage, an issue that has been in the news this week with today’s reopening of Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World.” The ride features revisions from its original concept, including tie-ins to Disney movies.

Thornton said the criticism is overblown.

“You hear people talk about, ‘I don’t think Walt would like this,’ or ‘I don’t think Walt would like that.’ You have no idea what Walt would want! No clue whatsoever! Because the people that worked with him day in and day out didn’t know what Walt wanted. Walt didn’t know what he wanted ’til he wanted it.”

Sonny With A Chance Reviews

Posted on: Monday, February 9th, 2009 in: Demi Lovato, Jillian Murray, Sonny with a Chance, Tiffany Thornton

I had to go through and watch these twice. And I have to say, it gets better on the re-watch. which in itself is a bit of a rarity for a DC Series.

There was some very good dialogue. Especially jokes that continued to build upon the last one. Like, “Why am I being touched” “Sorry, I’m a huger” “Small world, so am I” in “Sketchy Beginnings”

Over all, I’d have to say it was a very solid effort. And I was totally loving the exterior studio shots. They used a lot of locations that I could recognize on the Disney studio lot in Burbank.

Overall, I’d give the series a high B to low A rating. And I’ll certainly keep watching.

Minute by minute commentary on episode one, “Sketchy Beginnings”

0:00 And we start with Dolphin Boy and the water squirting scene. I was wondering where that scene came in.

0:01 They played that squiring thing a little too long. On second thought, LOL

0:01 “I guess dreams really do come true.” a little sappy but okay.

0:11″I was eavesdropping. It’s kinda my thing right now. That and REVENGE. Wanna get some?”

0:13 “I agree. what is everyone else doing wrong?”

0:15 “There are gonna be bumps in the read. like that dear we hit in colorado”

0:16 She shredded a stuffed cat!? And then all she had to do was call her funny and pretty?

0:18 “That’s my favorite cape!” And another shredded cat!?

0:20 “And my ba kicks butt” …  “sis boom bye!” :)

0:21 … what is Demi doing? that was the craziest rap ever. “Word to the hive” LOL!

0:09 Tween choice awards? Kinda clever.

0:10 I so totally saw the statue stealin’ coming. but the table collapsing food finger caught me by surprise. Mostly because it wouldn’t actually work.

0:15 More thrown food? LOL

0:17 I’m diggin’ all the shots of the Disney studios.

0:18 Why are they dismantling the set?

0:19 Okay.. that was actually a kinda cool trick.

0:20 “You’re challenging us to musical chairs?”

0:21 “Actually I’m acting like a chicken. I’m not afraid to act like an idiot”

Miley Cyrus is at it again…

Posted on: Friday, February 6th, 2009 in: Miley Cyrus

I’m honestly surprised that Miley can still surprise me. And not in a good way either.

I’ve been debating whether to post these for the past few days. The girl is only 16 after all, but there really aren’t worse than many of her “controversial” pictures.

So here are two reasons why Miley shouldn’t ever wear a top without a bra.

The first involves loose tops on horseback.

Miley Cyrus

And the second features a backless outfit that should have a little more on the side.

The Cheetah Girls are done

Posted on: Thursday, February 5th, 2009 in: Website

Remember Adrienne Bailon’s nude photo scandal? Apparently she got her wish.

Anyway, I wanted to share this article in which Adrienne declares the Cheetah Girls as over.

Source: Mickey News

Adrienne Bailon, member of Disney’s multi-platinum The Cheetah Girls, confirmed that the group is officially over. “I think that the brand has now come to an end,” she told Just Jared Jr. at the Sundance Film Festival. “But like everything – ‘High School Musical’ will no longer be. Same thing. We had a great run.”

“But I think Disney – it was a platform for us to continue the dreams and they want to spread the same Cheetah Girl message to carry with us, which is Girl empowerment. Every project that the three of us do will always incorporate that. We’ll be friends forever,” she continued.

The girls have their own solo projects they’ve been working on. Bailon has been working on solo material, including two solo songs which debuting on the upcoming “Confessions of a Shopaholic” soundtrack. Kiely Williams appeared in last year’s “The House Bunny” and is in talks for a role in the upcoming comedy, “The Science of Cool.” Sabrina Bryan just released her second dance and fitness DVD, “BYOU2″, where she teaches hip-hop and Bollywood-influenced routines.

“It was a great experience and I’m really, really happy I was a part of it,” Bailon said.

The girls released their last movie, “The Cheetah Girls: One World”, to DVD and Blu-ray in December. They also completed their “Cheetah Girls: One World Tour” last fall.

Of course, who knows if she knows what she’s talking about. ‘Cause HSM isn’t gonna end before they at least try a fourth movie.

And I love how Sabrina made a “hip-hop and Bollywood” DVD. So whatever Disney teaches her, she’ll repeat? LOL.

Alex Russo’s Taxi Dance

Posted on: Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 in: Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place

Okay Wizards and/or Selena fans, I’m happy to announce that I’ve added screencaps of “Taxi Dance” to the site.

I enjoyed this particular pose of Selena when I was sorting through the pictures.

Wizards of Waverly Place

And I like this one of Alex as a workin’ girl.

Wizards of Waverly Place

And of course, a recap of Taxi Dance wouldn’t be complete without alex trying to explain the Talking Taxi cap. Indoors.

Wizards of Waverly Place

And just for the heck of it, here’s one of Alex after she’s busted.
