Sonny With A Chance Reviews
I had to go through and watch these twice. And I have to say, it gets better on the re-watch. which in itself is a bit of a rarity for a DC Series.
There was some very good dialogue. Especially jokes that continued to build upon the last one. Like, “Why am I being touched” “Sorry, I’m a huger” “Small world, so am I” in “Sketchy Beginnings”
Over all, I’d have to say it was a very solid effort. And I was totally loving the exterior studio shots. They used a lot of locations that I could recognize on the Disney studio lot in Burbank.
Overall, I’d give the series a high B to low A rating. And I’ll certainly keep watching.

0:00 And we start with Dolphin Boy and the water squirting scene. I was wondering where that scene came in.

Honestly, as a mother. I think Demi Lovato is awful. She has no talent and is obviously the “disney darling” they are trying to push. My 10,8 and 6 year old girls cannot stand the show because of her trying to be so cute but also the show doesn’t give a message. They adore Hannah Montana because there is always a moral lesson to the show. Plus Miley is just plain talented. It’s in her genes. Demi is young, egocentric and is trying too hard to be “adorable”. Selena Gomez, now there’s a talent. She works hard and has a level head on her shoulders. Miley, I think, is a true star. She’s star quality through and through. Her voice is amazing and her songs are truly enjoyable and will last (like Madonna’s songs). Miley and Nick Jonas are obviously the most talented of the entire crew. What makes Sonny With a Chance enjoyable to watch are its supporting actors. Demi needs to go-the girl overacts-bottom line> I’ve done theater and musicals my whole life. She’s just not that good. Selena, Miley, Tiffany Thorton, the supporting casts of Hannah Montana and Sonny are wonderful. I think they don’t get enough credit. Esp for the Sonny show. The supporting characters make that show. I would love to see a Mackenzie Falls show. Okay that whole thing is hysterical and enjoyable to watch. Sonny (Demi) needs to quit acting (take some serious lessons and maybe look to singing (not acting). Although the girl can sing-but it’s obvious she’s trying way too hard and screams into the microphone…It just doesn’t come naturally to her. Onstage Miley, Selena, Nick Jonas(who’s obviously the most talented of the J Bros.) truly have a gift. Demi (sorry to say it) just tries too hard. I cant tell being a mother that Selena’s mother has done a good job and Miley’s mother as well. And honesly that Tiffany Thornton. I think she’s going to be a force to be reckoned. She is absolutely hilarious… Even Ashely Tisdale is coming into her own which is nice to see. She’s very talented. Miley Cyrus has just got it. The girl is going to be around for a long time. She’s been raised right and she seems solid and very respectful and gracious. She seems extremely sincere and appreciative of the events of her life (as well as Selena). Those are nice girls. I would want my girls to be friends with. I also love the supporting casts. I think Disney does an excellent job at casting supporting casts. They are wonderful. I love Harper, Justin, Rico, Jackson, Lilly, Tawney, Oliver…I think it’s great! Keep up the good work Disney. Don’t so much care about seeing any more of Demi however. She screams too much and her songs really aren’t very pleasant to the ears. She came to our town this summer and our babysitter worked backstage for her. She couldn’t believe how rude, conceded and the foul language that came from her mouth. U know, honesty, I just wasn’t that surprised. I think she needs a lesson in respecting authority and needs to quit acting (or go to college and get a BFA so she can learn)…I have my MFA and poor Demi just needs help in the acting department….I think maybe the “disney” image isn’t Demi Lovato per say….She just doesn’t fit with everyone else….Every mother I talk to feels the same way about her….She just tries too hard….I would (as my daughters would as well) like to see more Miley and I honestly think the Mackenzie Falls spinoff thing is absolutely hilarious!!! Would love to see more of that….It really is funny! Thanks for reading : )

Well as always I respect others opinions and in this case I agree with Selena being an acting star and Miley being talented. I have beef with Miley doing those questionable pics with her father for everyone to see. I also do not agree with her dancing on that pole cart for the award show. All those did was gather negative press for her and Disney. Now I see there was no mention of Vanessa Hudgens. She did bad by having nude pics get out and really Disney was in the dog house for it. I feel Demi can sing. Yes, at times she can sound like yellin but that’s only a perception. I mean Miley can sound that way too. And Demi’s ‘dark’ background with her family is normal. There are families all over who are spilt, divorced or whatever and the kids suffer because of it. I came from one and so did she. Heck even Miley came from a blended family; that’s normal now-a-days. But it’s because of that realizism that makes Demi who she is. Her cast on Sonny is fantastic and I agree they deserve more credit. But take into account this is her first major TV role at age 16, there are bound to be some stumbles along the way. Miley’s acting on S1 of Hannah was not well. Her lines felt rushed, some out didn’t connect right, her attention didn’t seem there in some scenes but it was because of her amazing voice and talented cast that she became a better person overall. Well Demi is beginning this process but only a year later after Miley started. There was plenty of kids at Demi’s shows who looks up to her as a role model and Demi from eye witness was not mean to any of them. She goes out of her way for fans, just like any of the Disney stars do. And being in theatre one must know there are far worst actors than Demi. So as for i can not totally say Demi is perfect, I definitely see room for improvement and would like her to have the chance to grow or fail if so be it but it’s kinds unfair to already cut the rug out from under her right when she is getting started.

I too think Demi is great. She was nice to all peoples including adults and media. Her voice is there as proof with releasing two records now and her personality is lively.
